Mike Bloomberg got busted during a Fox town hall on his gun control stance on Monday in Virginia, a stop thats become a hot bed of defense of Second Amendment rights with the efforts to take away guns in the state.
Bloomberg is well known for making extreme comments when it comes to gun control and being behind the radical Moms Demand group.
An audience member, Clarke Chitty, asked Bloomberg how he could justify being for more gun control when he has an armed security detail.
From Daily Caller:
How do you justify pushing for more gun control when you have an armed security detail thats likely equipped with the same firearms and magazines that you seek to ban the common citizen from owning? the man asked at a Monday evening Fox News town hall in Manassas, Virginia. Does your life matter more than mine or my familys or these peoples?
The audience loved the question and cheered resoundingly for it. Gotta love it, perfectly stated.
Bloombergs answer, for what would seem a likely question he might get, was pretty bad. It was basically he was rich and running for President, so he gets threats, so its cool for him. If you are adversely impacted, oh, well.
Look, I probably get 40 or 50 threats every week, ok, and some of them are real, Bloomberg responded. That just happens when you are the mayor of New York City or you are very wealthy, and if you are campaigning for the president of the United States you get lots of threats.
Yes, and some people live in dangerous neighborhoods or face their own threats. So? Whats your explanation for wanting to restrict their rights?
He claimed that his security was well trained and that he really wasnt trying to restrict anyones right.
Let me talk about firearms for a second, he continued. The Second Amendment gives you the right to bear arms. Nobody suggests that were gonna change the Constitution, even if you wanted to I dont think youd get it done, so nobodys gonna take your right to bear arms. The Supreme Court said you can have reasonable restrictions. The only restrictions which Im in favor of is to prevent us from selling guns to people with psychiatric problems, criminals or people that are minors.
That of course isnt true, hes argued for a lot more than that including restricting even on the number of bullets a weapon should be allowed to shoot (he wanted to cap it as three, saying if you havent killed the deer by then, maybe it should get away).
Bloomberg on gun control
The public & hunters shouldnt own a firearm that shoots more than 3 bullets
If you cant kill a deer in 3 shots your a lousy shot and that deer was ment to get away

People called him out for the lies at the Fox town hall.
Bloomberg saying the only thing he wants is universal background checks is a huge lie. Hes promoting a national gun licensing system and bans on commonly owned firearms on his campaign website. https://t.co/ci2tOHAih3

Gun control advocates like Bloomberg always say they just want a couple things when in reality, hes advocating for the ban of semi-autos (his groups say anything that shoots 10 rounds a minute is an assault weapon, not joking), mag restrictions, lots https://t.co/rf9HEOkQFj

Bloomberg also lied about no background checks at gun shows an internet sales.
Bloomberg just lied about how federal gun laws work during his Fox News town hall. There is no special exception to background check requirements for gun shows or internet sales. pic.twitter.com/XaSnHZiMvI

Protesters tried to disrupt at the end of the question but Fox then went to commercial to clear them away. It sounded like they were anti gun- control people.

Americans need to experience the thrill of deprivation. Of wiping their asses on whatever they can lay their hands on. Of wishing they could open a can of Spam to relieve the pangs of hunger gnawing at their innards. To wonder why they haven't seen their husband or father for months and to puzzle as to what happened to him.
Americans need to look at their teen agers and find out what texts are being used in the classrooms and what the hell their 'professors' are teaching them.
