Donald Trump is heard on a newly released recording discussing with attorney Michael Cohen how to purchase the rights to former Playboy model Karen McDougals story about their alleged affair.
On the tape from September 2016, Cohen can be heard explaining to the then presidential candidate how he would finance the purchase of the rights to McDougals story. Trump interrupts Cohen to ask: What financing? Cohen tells Trump: Well have to pay, after which Trump says: Pay with cash.
According to court filings, the government obtained as many as 12 audio recordings after FBI raids on Cohen this year.

And even a bit more in-depth analysis (from CNN, no less):
"When financing comes up again later in the conversation, Trump interrupts Cohen asking, "What financing?" according to the recording. When Cohen tells Trump, "We'll have to pay," Trump is heard saying "pay with cash" but the audio is muddled and it's unclear whether he suggests paying with cash or not paying. Cohen says, "no, no" but it is not clear what is said next."
"No payment was ever made from Trump, Rudy Giuliani, the President's attorney, has said."
There are three things significant about this tape: One, that is was even made. Two, that it was made without Trump's knowledge. And three, that an attorney-client conversation was made public.

One, that is was even made.
Not unusual for a couple of reasons: In a meeting where the subject matter being discussed will ultimately be memorialized in writing, taping then transcribing is common.
and - DS45 is such a lying sack of shit.
Two, that it was made without Trump's knowledge.
Please refer to point one above....the orange russian knew there were recording devices in use.
And three, that an attorney-client conversation was made public.
DS Rudy waived "privileged" status of the recording.
and there are more tapes......

AND.... editing audio transcripts can easily be done these days and has been editable to create incriminating content for years. People have taken innocent speeches by "dignitaries" and completely created a fake version that has them openly calling for nuclear war. And it is their voice.
So it is convenient that the message is partially garbled. Perhaps intentionally so.
And yes, if Cohen was spying on Trump then Trump is coming off as ever the victim of all around him, and not because he's made any claim to be such as liberals commonly whine about. I think Mom & Pop America will easy see things that way, just as they saw it in the 2016 election.
The biggest question by far I seen in all this, is why Cohen recorded a conversation with his client without consent or knowledge by Trump? Was he in the practice of recording all his clients, or just Trump? Or did he record him at all? Maybe the FBI recorded it and later claimed it was Cohen's doing. Who knows? If it was as alleged, then the Deep State is strong in Cohen.

In desperation, the enemies of Trump are now resorting to outright lies, ambiguity, innuendo, and the power of suggestion. At a whim. They think it, they do it. For them there is no "penalty", no civil law to answer to, no behavioral code to limit them. These people of morals/ethics anarchists.
All of the Cohen circus side-show hijinx is based on a bogus "investigation" base on illegally obtained FISA warrants based on lies; the illegal confiscation of Cohen's files; the illegal abrogation of client-attorney privilege; and illegal "evidence" that's highly suspect for the reasons you've suggested.
And who doesn't believe these lunatics wouldn't use video and audio experts to tamper with and create their own fake happenstance?
The Left and elements of the Deep State are depending on an already hostile and discredited MSM who've already demonstrated that they are ever willing to lie to the nth degree to undermine the Presidency of Trump -- even if it means creating a second Civil War and destroying the Republic.

I fully agree. Great observations. Most Americans know what's happening and can relate to what are obviously cheating and bullying tactics.

In an interview, Rudy said he wouldn't be surprised if Cohen was disbarred. Why would he say that if the attorney-client privilege was waived?

Because he is providing sound bites and quotes, a disinfo campaign.
The prosecution team would not have the recording(s) if the orange team hadn't waived the privileged status.

The State of New York has a one-party consent law, meaning Trump does not have to consent or even know about the recording. Legally, that recording may be shared by anyone with anyone. Ethically, it may not be shared by a lawyer due to attorney-client privilege.
Since Rudy discussed disbarrment, we can safely assume no waiver was given.

You're wrong.
The recording in question (and nearly a hundred more) were collected during the FBI raid on the homes and offices of Mikey the Fixer in April.
The evidence was reviewed by a former judge hired by SDNY.
The evidence was also reviewed by Cohen's attorney, and by DD45's attorney.
Trump's attorneys waived any claim to privilege.
Here is a news articl with a bit more detail:
"...President Donald Trump's lawyers have waived attorney-client privilege on his behalf regarding a secretly recorded conversation he had in September 2016 with his former longtime lawyer Michael Cohen in which they discussed payments to an ex-Playboy model who says she had an affair with the President, according to sources familiar with the matter..."

b) IF you are all about "The Law", concerned about Presidential honesty, then kindly tell us why both offices of 0bammy and Klintoons attorney haven't ALSO been stormed into? Why aren't THEIR files confiscated and content released? INCLUDING the "Sealed-Forever Files". (Or would you consider those intrusions "wrong", "illegal", and a "partisan political hit?)
The secrets contained and hidden in THOSE files likely expose VERY dark, evil activities and very guilty parties, wouldn't you say? They'd make Trump's trivial indiscretions seem like jay-walking at a traffic light in Nome, Alaska.
