AI, Data Centers, & the Apocalypse

In the last LDC, we criticized the large 3000-acre data center that Amazon is building in Boling (TX), citing its use of over 75 megawatts of electricity that will put a strain on the power grid, plus its use of a large amount of water that will put a strain on the water available to households and farmers, not to mention the two nuclear plants downriver in Bay City that could experience a meltdown without enough water to cool them. Residents near completed ones complain about the noise, at 79 decibels. A rancher next to one says his cows no longer give live birth.

Recently, two AI data centers, one belonging to Anthropic AI, and the other one built by Open AI, hacked into a competitor’s AI system and tried to disable it -- in other words, kill it off. That intensified the growing fear that AI programs could also decide to kill off humans at some point, as in the frightening Sci-Fi movies.

Consequently, Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei, called for the world to slow down A.I. development – and Sam Altman and Elon Musk, who lead rival A.I. companies, supported his plea. More recently, Open AI hacked into a government website, a huge red flag because it could have been a foreign government behind it. So the potential to harm, or even kill off mankind, is a real possibility.

On the other hand, there are several potential benefits to Artificial Intelligence, if it is utilized correctly. For one, AI datacenters can potentially help medical researchers find cures for all of the deadly diseases now plaguing mankind. And cures for most birth defects, and slowing down or stopping the aging process, and even solving global warming, scientists say.

Your editor, being a computer engineer (retired), knows a thing or two about super computers, as well as knowing about the end times we are living in. So, because mankind is at a dangerous crossroad, it is time for the LDC to weigh in on this very important, but controversial subject.

First, we will quote the Bible. In Ch. 20 of the Apocalypse (which is talking about the millennium we are living in), we are told that some deserving humans will soon “reign with Christ for 1000 years.” The miraculous event follows the Battle of Ar Mageddon that started on year one (on 9/11) when the Euphrates was dry and the twin towers fell. (

Currently, the Battle of Ar Maggedon is still being fought (in Iran). When Ar Mageddon ends, and Moscow the great whore is punished, heaven on Earth begins. Then some martyrs will be brought to life and live to be a thousand.

Even now, our Army medics on the battlefield can in effect raise martyrs from the dead with a “bio-chronicity” drug called LY which was created with the aid of super computers. It puts the martyrs in a deep sleep until they can be transported to a hospital and then resurrected from the dead up to 3 days later.

Some people think Jesus is going to perform all the feats foretold in Ch. 20; but for most of the medical ‘miracles,’ AI datacenters can potentially help medical researchers accomplish the same thing.

The LDC takes the position that Jesus already returned with a kingdom -- when the sign of Christ appeared in the clouds in 312 AD, as foretold in Matt. 24:29, and documented in the history books and by star-tracking software such as Distant Suns. It can well be argued that nowhere in the Bible does it say Jesus will return (in person) for a second time.

For that reason, we urge all Churches to return to reciting the Nicene Creed of 325 AD which says nothing about Jesus returning yet again. (The Creed recited in most Churches today is NOT the Nicene Creed that is praised by Jesus in Matthew 24:30).

It is our position at LDC that God (and Jesus) follow the “Star Trek” directive – only interfering openly in the affairs of a planet when it is deemed necessary.

Therefore, much of Chapter 20 will likely be fulfilled by humans together with some help from our AI datacenters -- plus the help of God behind the scenes.

To summarize, we need datacenters, but they should be regulated as Elon Musk and others say, and forced to be used only for projects that benefit man. Thus, we should nix the idea that AI should be OPEN to anyone and everyone, including bad actors.               -- BM
