Iraq was shooting at our planes every day. They were an arrogant, defeated but unrepentant enemy still carrying out warfare on us for 10 years. Of course we invaded them and took out their leader. It was expensive, and the right thing to do. We still reap benefits from it. Iraq is not an enemy nation. It is independent, and we have full access to all that oil.

In a grim world, it was a grotty choice, but it was the right one. W. Bush was right. The pretext was a little hokey, but it was the right thing to do.

Casualties were always going to be high. Muslim fanatics make that so.
