The Voters Are Going To Throw the Democrats Out of PowerAP Because the Biden administration entered office determined to do everything differently from the previous administration, its major policies have become tangled knots of self-contradiction. Since the Democratic Party had so heavily invested in the evil of Russia and President Trump's supposed coziness with the Kremlin, (a complete and defamatory fiction), it was peculiar and absurd that Russia was invited to act as the intermediary of the United States in the new administration's poorly thought out ambition to put the nuclear arms deferral agreement with Iran, back together. This was a bad idea in all respects as that agreement was one of the most disadvantageous international agreements ever made by the United States, and along with Obamacare and the Green Terror, was the principal heritage of the Obama era. In exchange for the release of over $100 billion of Iranian assets that had been frozen and the drastic reduction of seriously inconvenient sanctions on Iran, that country would defer development and deployment of nuclear-tipped intermediate and long-range missiles for ten years, more than seven of which have now elapsed. Once Russia invaded Ukraine and the Biden administration correctly determined to assist Ukraine in its defense, (after discovering the inaccuracy of Joint Chiefs’ Chairman General Mark Milley’s prediction that Russia would overwhelm Ukraine within two weeks), the continued role of Russia as a representative of American interests opposite Iran was outrageous.......

I agree. It will be 238 GOP in the House, and 53 GOP in the Senate.

That will stop the January 6 stuff.

Then we will have two years of Biden ruling by Executive Order.

And then we'll get a Republican President...maybe.

Trump or DeSantis. Maybe Trump/DeSantis

Unless we're all vaporized first, which is a non-zero possibility.

53? Really?

Yep, 53. MAYBE 54, but that's really stretching it.

Not enough to remove Biden after an impeachment, but enough to stop the legislative agenda cold, and enough to stop him from packing the courts.

The Republican Senate will block anybody until 2024. And I don't think Thomas will retire until then.

54 Senators, 238 House.

It will certainly be 53. 54 is a reach. But I hope so. Hell, it COULD be 56 if this is a 500 year tsunami.

Doesn't really make a difference, since it takes 67 to remove a President, and 60 to override a filibuster, and we're not going to get either of those things.

So, Biden will still rule through Executive actions, like Trump and Obama did, and we just have to gut it out until 2024.

Well, who's a RINO? Liz Cheney is out - she was the worst.

The Trumpish Republicans are surging, so I expect it will be a more Trumpish party that takes over in January.

Mitch McConnell is not a Trumpster, but he's not really a RINO either. He was very good on judges, and just knows that power game so well. He's going to be there forever, like some Galpagos Tortoise that lives 279 years. He's not great, but he's not terrible either. He's...Mitch McConnell. You pretty much know what he's going to do. It's going to be effective. About 70% of it is what you want. 15% is tolerable. And 15% will piss you off. It doesn't get better than that, really, with anybody who has that much experience and power. He has his own opinions on some things, they're different from mine and yours, and he's got the power.

You have to live with that sort of thing. It's inevitable.

There are lots of Democrats getting hives over the fact that Diden sounds like Churchill on Ukraine and Taiwan. He's VERY strong on those - much stronger than his party. They want to faint.

Of course, that's because Biden is senile and thinks he's taking on Brezhnev and Mao, but I'll take it. I'm 1000% with Biden on Ukraine and Taiwan.

My hope is that once his party has lost power, he'll just go to sleep in his rocking chair and can be trotted out to say strong things about the war. That works for me. If his whole domestic agenda is replaced by Congress, and he just rubber stamps it and goes back to his milk bottle, find by me.

Seriously, V13, how can we really even compare Ukraine and Taiwan from a tactical standpoint? We are in the process of sending some $100 Billion in armaments and currency to the Ukrainian defense forces. How do we get weapons and ammo and foodstuffs to Taiwan without somehow evading China's air and sea blockade?

Taiwan is an island on its own unless America is willing to risk all-out war against China, imho...MUD

"...takes 67 Senators to remove a President..."

At some point in Bidenz continued journey into senility, do you think it at all possible that 12-15 DemocRATic Senators see the writing on the wall and decide to cut the dead weight of Bidenz corruption and incompetence, and signal to the Biden camp that JOEZ Resignation is best for the Party? You gotta realize that Hunter's irruption is JOEZ corruption, and it is treasonous, imho...MUD

We go to all out war with CHina, at sea, and we defeat them, obviously. You do not invade free democratic allies of the USA. Period.

Russia is being broken right now. They will never recover.

If China does it now, they will be broken too.

After that, nobody will be in any position to challenge us, and nobody will have the nerve to do it, for 30 years.

If God is truly on OUR Side, I pray he leads this nation away from an all-out war with China (or Russia) in our lifetimes. Nobody wins those conflicts. And America would be ill-served with TraitorJOE as Commander-in- Chief in any significant military action, as we saw in Afghanistan.

I continue to pray for revolutionary forces in each of these authoritarian countries to take out their respective despots. Coups d'etat or an assassin's bullet, whatever. I like to believe both Vlad and Xi have expiration dates that are just around the corner...MUD

Even Manchin.

I was a huge fan of Manchin. But then he caved to Biden for literally NOTHING.

He's not up this time, but next time he is up, and he should be tossed out too.

Too bad. The Democrat party could have found its soul again in Manchin. But they are too goddamned hellbent. So fuck 'em all.

I think the WVA voters will end Manchin's reign next go round, too...if he was serious about stopping the Bidenistas spending spree, he would've switched parties before now. His link to the anti-coal Environazis will cost him that energy-rich State's Senate seat...MUD

He's not a Republican, and didn't need to switch parties, just do what he was doing. But he caved. He finally gave Biden his support, in exchange for a vote on an energy bill, which the Dems refused to pass. He SHOULD HAVE insisted on the energy bill FIRST. But nope. Unfortuately for him, there's no coming back from that. So he's gone.

Today is the day...the line going into my voting place was longer than I have seen for over a decade, but I cannot say if that is good or bad, as I live smack dab in the middle of a Blue City, in a Blue Congressional district, in a Purple State.

A Leon Benjamin win over the incumbent DemocRAT would be a humongous upset, but I have my fingers crossed...MUD

I hoped there would be a greater win across the board, but it just means there are a lotta folks who have bought into the RAT-mediaz lies. Still, looks like the GOP will be in control of the House, which means Subpoena Power for uncovering some of the rampant Abuses of Power but Marxist, Authoritarian appaRATchix mired within the DeeCeeSwamp. Hopefully that will open some eyes of those who are empowering these monsters...MUD

Well, shit. That was not as much fun as advertised.

We did get the House, by the narrowest of margins, so the whole January 6 fiasco will end. As far as broad investigations of BIden goes, I doubt it will be all that big.

The Senate is still wait and see. I expect that Dems will win Arizona. Republicans should win Nevada, but both these states need to get their act together and have quick results, like Florida does. Senate may come down to Georgia. Mainly that's a question of judges.
