However, Clintoon gave the Chinese American nuclear technology, he allowed the Hughes Corporation, and the Loral Corporation to solve their problems, improved their guidance systems, and gave the Chinese MIRV technology, and Clintoon took money from the Chinese and both corporations, and he allowed Chinese agents into American facilities ( Los Alamos )and did nothing while they were stealing American tech. I/m not. I'm a constitutionalist. The constitution is not a toy for partisans to play with. You don't impeach presidents because you hate their politics; it takes real Spiro Agnew type crimes. Andrew Johnson did break the law, though for a constitutional reason. Should he have been impeached? Probably not. Ruchard Nixon was not impeached, but the threat was there, for the Watergate break in (which he didn't authorize) and the cover up, which he actively participated in. Should he have been impeached for that? Probabaly not. It's too small beer. Clinton was impeached for a BJ. Ridiculous. And China policy is within the purview of the President to set. There is no "master policy" above the President and above everybody, which lets you impeach officials for violating some "ultimate truth" about the United States. No! The truth is, the President sets foreign policy. To impeach him over foreign policy because you don't like the policy, or him, turns us into a banana republic.

Both impeachments of Trump were of that caliber, and were absolute jokes.

Impeachment is not just a way of removing a political opponent because you have the power to do it. Or maybe that's what it has become now, but if that's so, our republic is immeasurably weakened by such utterly petty and short-sighted policy.

The people elect the President. They can throw him out in four years if they don't like the policy. That's it. To impeach him takes SERIOUS crime. A difference of political opinion about foreign nations is not a crime AT ALL, and impeachment should never be even talked about for that.

Now, impeachment is just a matter of having the votes. The public held the Republicans responsible at the polls for impeaching Clinton, but they did not hold the Democrats responsible for impeaching Trump, twice! Maybe they will this November. I certainly hope so.

Trade policy with China is the President's prerogative. Opponents may not like it, but that's too bad. You don't get to impeach the President because you don't like his policies. He has the power.

The DID impeach him, twice, and were asshats for doing so. The Republicans should not go into the gutter with them. Rather, the Republicans should politically defeat them and then keep them out of power BECAUSE they impeached Trump.

His staff has tried to walk that back a few times, but he keeps saying it. His own STAFF does not like the policy, and pretends that the policy is something else. Truth is: foreign policy is what the President of the United States SAYS foreign policy is. If the entire cabinet and and state department disagree that one aye versus 1768 nays. The ayes have it.

That is what being President IS. You do not just execute foreign policy. You SET it.

Foreign policy is NOT set by Congress and by Law. Congress has no authority to set it. Congress can vote unanimously that the US will support Russia. If the President says NO, the President, alone, overrides all of Congress. Congress does not set foreign policy. The people do not set foreign policy. The government agencies do not set foreign policy. The Constitution says that the President sets it. And that's the way it is.

Now, if the President is against the whole country, that means that, if it's important enough to the people, he loses the next election. But THAT is the control. Not impeachment. "I don't like the President's foreign policy" is not grounds for impeaching him.
