Don't know who Klaus is, but I'm pretty sure that NATO is capable of ending Putin the bully's delusions of retaking Eastern Europe by force. Eastern Europe will no longer be his playground to do with as he pleases.

That's the reason NATO was formed in the first place, to protect Europe from Russia, the bully.

The reason I said Christian nations is because it would be a big mistake to let non-Christian nations such as Turkey to participate in the joint strike force (and learn about the workings of our sophisticated weapons) because Turkey is not our friend and it is just a matter of time before they butt heads with NATO and get kicked out (as prophesied).
