Who is John Fogerty? Some old has-been 20th century rocker?

Can't these guys ever just retire and fade away gracefully? Or at least have the decency to die of a narcotics overdose while embroiled in personal scandal?

Maybe this Fogerty can get some nice gigs at rest homes and retirement villages. The dude is 74 years old, a voice of the Sixties.
