Here’s local news coverage about a teenage kid in Hollywood, FL Hut! Hut! Hutted! by armed government workers for popping wheelies on his bicycle. An AGW used his car to ram the kid’s bike – then several AGWs tackled the kid, who was also Tazered several times.

For riding bicycles in an unapproved manner.

In a statement released to the media, a Hollywood AGW spokesman claims the Hut! Hut! Hutting AGW’s two-ton vehicle made “incidental contact” with the kid and his bike and that this “contact” was “accidental.”

But how so? The AGW deliberately chased a kid on a bicycle using his AGW SmooVee. Isn’t this like “accidentally” pointing a loaded gun at someone?

Whatever happened to saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafety? Imagine what would have happened to a “citizen” who used his car to ram an AGW on a bicycle. It doesn’t require much imagination. “Incidental” or not, the driver would probably have been shot by the AGW – and the shooting ruled “justifiable” for “officer safety” – and the driver charged with multiple felonies.

Keep in mind the Great Crime here that needed to be stomped (or rather, run over). A kid popping wheelies on his bicycle. Kids used to do that all the time – once upon a time. Before America went bat guano and empowered armed and dangerous psychopaths to use their vehicles to run them over for such “offenses” – which used to be just kids having fun.

Which they’re not allowed to do anymore.

Call the Pentagon and get a free 4-ton armored MRAP for the local Five-O before these wheelie-poppin' punks kill some poor cop.

They're totally out of control. Totes.

AGW’s two-ton vehicle ...

Ooooh. A two-ton vehicle! That's lower than the weight of the average mid- size SUV.

Only a story because the kids were black.

Cops were investigating a string of robberies in that area. When an officer approached them for questioning, the boys split up and fled the scene. That's why he was chased.

(The mother later defended her son's actions by saying "... you can’t blame the children for being afraid of the police.")

No, mama. I blame YOU for teaching your children to be afraid of the police. That's getting them killed.

Back when this was a free country, a cop who spotted a kid doing a wheelie would have given him a smile and a thumbs-up.

This story had nothing to do with wheelies.

It's no different than all your other stories -- "Cops Shoot Man For Smoking Cigarette", "Cops Arrest Woman For Wearing a Green Dress", "Cops Beat Up Teen For Singing Too Loud".

This is why you'll always be a joke on this forum.

Really? That's what the new report is saying. And no - it's not from the Free Thought Project.

Cops were investigating a string of robberies in that area...

Yeah, because hardened criminals attempt to "escape the scene of the crime" by doing wheelies.

What new report? An inflammatory article by an anarchist's website?

"Yeah, because hardened criminals attempt to "escape the scene of the crime" by doing wheelies."

Actually one did, didn't he? Didn't get far. Fall down go boom.

Eric does write about one article a year about the auto industry. Other than that, it's just his personal political blog pretending to be auto-oriented.

Actually the vast amount of articles are about cars - his the political section is relatively small.

Sometimes the political issues involve cars - sometimes the car issues are political.

You and Gatlin should both check that out for yourselves.

I have and you are – as always – posting some more Bullshit.

What the hell do you want everyone to think “libertarian car talk” is?

Eric Peters is a libertarian using his “car web site” as a personal blog to promote his libertarian views on politics.

And you take the hate-cops and anti-government articles from there to post on LF wanting us to believe they are isolated independent political objective commentaries from some “car guy.”

“Eric Peters is a Libertarian gearhead, columnist, and author.”

Post your articles, of course, and we will comment on them.

But. for heavens sake, STOP LYING about your sources.

Read those word very CAREFULLY, Deckard.

Here, I will help you to better understand: It says that Eric Peters MASKS his case for libertarian freedom and self-ownership by using cars and bikes as the vehicle.

You GOT it now???

I post from libertarian sites - he poats from leftist-commie sites.

Nah, I’m all in for self-ownersip. Fpr self-ownership is a concept universally assumed to be a strong foundation for human rights and the civilized life.

I do however find it quite amusing – well laughable – about the way libertarians think they own the term and adhere to the false libertarian notion of self-ownership.

Libertarians support the idea that a government’s only purpose is to protect life, liberty and private property. One way this is done is through an idea they call self-ownership. This is the notion that each individual owns himself, just like one who owns a piece of property. Thus, the government should have no say on what we do with ourselves.

David Boaz in his book, The Libertarian Mind, expresses this principle in the following way: “The right of self-ownership,” he says, “certainly implies the right to decide for ourselves what food, drink, or drugs we will put into our own bodies; with whom we will make love (assuming our chosen partner agrees); and what kind of medical treatment we want (assuming a doctor agrees to provide it).”

This idea of “medical treatment” would certainly include the right to suicide. This is very much of an issue for those living in California, since Governor Brown just signed an assisted suicide law there.

This self-ownership extends not just to our bodies, but to our minds as well. Thus, classical liberal author John Stuart Mills wrote: “Over himself, over his own body and mind, the individual is sovereign.”

Hence, they believe in absolute freedom of thought and freedom of expression, including the right to any form of pornography. The only limit to their view of freedom over oneself is when someone engages in an activity that denies rights to another person.

Learn All About the Prophecies of Our Lady of Good Success About Our TimesThe False Libertarian Notion of Self-Ownership It should be mentioned that their notion of denying rights to others is very short-sighted. Who could deny that an individual who decides to become a drug user denies the rights of those with whom he associates? Think here of husbands, wives, children and family members who will have the weight of dealing with a drug user thrust on their shoulders.

This notion of self-ownership means that libertarians are very individualistic. For them, their self-interest is more important than the common good. That is why they are opposed to military conscription. They consider the draft to be a form of slavery.

Included in this notion is the idea that the only purpose of society is to help the individual. They have no concept of a higher purpose for society, of a society of greater value than the individuals in that society. If you disagree, they disparage you as a “communitarian.”

Boaz expresses this in the following words: “Communitarians in modern America” he says: “are people who believe that ‘the community’ should in some way take precedence over the individual.”

Thus, they harshly criticized John McCain when he called on Americans to serve “a national purpose that is greater than our individual interests.” Boaz even goes so far as to claim, “civil society itself is not an organization and does not have a purpose of its own.”

I will address your point about freedom another time …
