Did you also adjust for smoking, drug use, and obesity? What about an adjustment for health insurance or the health of the mother before pregnancy?
What about an adjustment for a planned vs an unplanned pregnancy? Or an adjustment for the age of the mother?
What about the racial disparities in risk factors related to pregnancy -- such as hypertension, anemia, and gestational diabetes? (Is sickle cell racist or simply a higher risk factor in blacks?)
