Senate Democrats Investigate a New Allegation of Sexual Misconduct, from Brett Kavanaugh’s College Years

Deborah Ramirez, a Yale classmate of Brett Kavanaugh’s, has described a dormitory party gone awry and a drunken incident that she wants the F.B.I. to investigate.

As Senate Republicans press for a swift vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Senate Democrats are investigating a new allegation of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh. The claim dates to the 1983-84 academic school year, when Kavanaugh was a freshman at Yale University. The offices of at least four Democratic senators have received information about the allegation, and at least two have begun investigating it. Senior Republican staffers also learned of the allegation last week and, in conversations with The New Yorker, expressed concern about its potential impact on Kavanaugh’s nomination. Soon after, Senate Republicans issued renewed calls to accelerate the timing of a committee vote. The Democratic Senate offices reviewing the allegations believe that they merit further investigation. “This is another serious, credible, and disturbing allegation against Brett Kavanaugh. It should be fully investigated,” Senator Mazie Hirono, of Hawaii, said. An aide in one of the other Senate offices added, “These allegations seem credible, and we’re taking them very seriously. If established, they’re clearly disqualifying.”

The woman at the center of the story, Deborah Ramirez, who is fifty-three, attended Yale with Kavanaugh, where she studied sociology and psychology. Later, she spent years working for an organization that supports victims of domestic violence. The New Yorker contacted Ramirez after learning of her possible involvement in an incident involving Kavanaugh. The allegation was conveyed to Democratic senators by a civil-rights lawyer. For Ramirez, the sudden attention has been unwelcome, and prompted difficult choices. She was at first hesitant to speak publicly, partly because her memories contained gaps because she had been drinking at the time of the alleged incident. In her initial conversations with The New Yorker, she was reluctant to characterize Kavanaugh’s role in the alleged incident with certainty. After six days of carefully assessing her memories and consulting with her attorney, Ramirez said that she felt confident enough of her recollections to say that she remembers Kavanaugh had exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party, thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away. Ramirez is now calling for the F.B.I. to investigate Kavanaugh’s role in the incident. “I would think an F.B.I. investigation would be warranted,” she said.

As credible as Christine Blasey Ford. "The New Yorker has not confirmed with other eyewitnesses that Kavanaugh was present at the party. The magazine contacted several dozen classmates of Ramirez and Kavanaugh regarding the incident." She calls for an FBI investigation.

There's a lot of people who say that Kavanaugh is a mean drunk. For what it's worth. It's mostly Kabuki Theater, political power play BS at this stage of the proceedings. Beneath it all Kavanaugh is a corrupt statist ahole, and an establishment hack with little regard for BOR/civil liberties, or the rule of law and US constitution.

While at home in suburban Maryland, Kavanaugh’s calendar listed basketball games, movies he went to, football workouts and college interviews.

It mentioned several parties, but the calendar included names of friends other than those identified by Ford, the newspaper said.

Anyone, woman OR man, who has to think for 6 days before feeling "confident" about a memory of a guy sticking his penis in her face is NOT credible.

“I represent a woman with credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge,” Avenatti said on Twitter. “We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify

Avenatti’s tweets also arrived the same explosive report was published in The New Yorker stating that Senate Democrats are currently looking into a new allegation of sexual misconduct regarding Kavanaugh brought forth by a woman identified as Deborah Ramirez. Kavanaugh has also denied those claims.

Avenatti confirmed shortly after the report that the client he was referring to is not Ramirez.

For what it's worth, I've taken in two old dogs so far; the latest died in early June and she's missed. Her predecessor was The World's Best Dog, truly amazing.

And worded in such a way that it will be hard to say they flat out lied and would open them up to indictment. The insinuation of impropriety is all that matters, for now and for the future.

I would just go ahead and confirm him and tell the "supposed victims" that they can get whomever they want to investigate their allegations. And if they're found to be credible action will be taken against him. If they're found to not be credible then the shoe will be on the other foot and you'll have action taken against you!!

Bless you Hank !!! You have done good deeds, in God's eyes !! I have taken in strays that wandered in. I have also adopted several from the local shelter. Got at least three that were seniors, that were scheduled to be put down. Wonderful, loving creatures all. Gave them a lot of extra years. We loved them all, and am sure they loved us !! I am down to two. Both still young. One was a stray, the other came from the shelter. They were going to euthanize her. A Lab. They said no one would adopt black dogs. We do, and did !!

I have loved every dog we have had, and still miss them all !!
