AUSTIN — Cody Wilson, the Austin man who owns controversial 3D-printed gun company Defense Distributed, has been accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl, an affidavit obtained by KVUE reveals.

During a forensic interview with the Center with Child Protection on Aug. 27, the victim told counselors she met Wilson through the website, SugarDaddyMeet.com. Court documents show Wilson used the profile, "Sanjuro," and told the victim that he was a "big deal." During the conversation, he also identified himself as "Cody Wilson." Police said the two exchanged cell phone numbers and continued their conversations using the Apple iMessage service on her phone.

The affidavit doesn't specify her age, but identified her as a "juvenile female under the age of 17."

The victim told police that on Aug. 15, she and Wilson met in person in the parking lot of Bennu Coffee on 515 South Congress Ave. Court documents show Wilson showed up in a black Ford Edge four door sports utility vehicle with a license plate that matches one registered to Wilson's business, Defense Distributed. Court documents show there was surveillance video of this meeting.

The victim then told police that Wilson took her to the Archer Hotel at 3121 Palm Way. Surveillance cameras captured the two using the valet service, in the lobby and in the elevator.

The victim also said Wilson took her to room 718 where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. Afterwards, she said he paid her $500.

Wilson is not in custody.

Wilson said at a press conference in August that, despite a federal judge's order to block access to the files on the company's website, he is selling the gun blueprints by emailing them and by mailing them on USB drives. Wilson said this is a secure way of communication that was not included in the judge's order.

Maybe he should've printed himself some moral first principles.

This sounds funny to me.

If they were watching why did they let her get raped?

Now is sugardaddy a site that lets underage children prostitute themselves or is this just another prostitute site for non rich people?

[Justified #3] This sounds funny to me.

It's possible that someone set him up, but that still does not offer a good defense. They checked into the hotel, they checked out, and she was underage.

To be on sugardaddy, she should have been of age. I don't know how much sympathy he can generate by saying he got an underage girl off sugardaddy, diddled her, gave her $500 for diddling, and in his spare time he helps in the manufacture of untraceable guns.

It appears someone wanted him to get got, and he's got.

Did he know she was underaged? This is the real question?

I do not really care about prostitution(society is so screwed up I hate to see good man punished for what is natural[sex needs]). You don't want an army of single men with to much pent-up needs!!!!!!! lol

It is a question for sympathy, not innocence.

By the time kids get to this level their life is screwed(Drugs, abuse from family or friends). Need to find and punish those that destroy a child's life!

Cody Wilson, 3-D Gun Proponent, Arrested in Taiwan on Sexual Assault Charge

Cody Wilson, a leading proponent of 3-D printed guns, has been arrested in Taiwan after being charged in Texas with sexually assaulting a 16-year old girl there, Taiwanese officials said on Friday.

Police in the Wanhua district of Taipei arrested Mr. Wilson and delivered him to the National Immigration Agency, according to officials in the city.

The police in Austin, Tex., had said on Wednesday that Mr. Wilson had failed to board a flight back the United States from Taipei, and that they had asked the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force for help locating him.

Mr. Wilson, 30, is accused of taking a girl he met via the website SugarDaddyMeet.com to a hotel in Austin on Aug. 15, having sex with her and paying her $500 in cash, according to an affidavit filed in Travis County on Wednesday.

I can't be any more convinced that this was a set up.

They're calling an under-age hooker who engaged in a mutual transaction as "Assault"?? Utter BS.

That's just one major question.

Was she a "Honey Pot"?

What's the law in Taiwan for "consent"?

WHO ordered the obvious surveillance of Wilson?

Was this actually a Sting Op?

She was underage. I was without her consent as she was legally incapable of giving her consent. He may well have been set up, but he went and set up an account on sugardaddies and he solicited her, he took her to the hotel and he paid her. He has his argument that he went on sugardaddies and she should have been of age. What sympathetic ear is he going to tell his sob story to, a prosecutor, a judge, or a Texas jury?

Hiding out in Taiwan helps to create the appearance of consciousness of guilt.

Not knowing she was underage is not a defense.

Irrelevant.

You're right, no doubt. (I've mistakenly overlooked some key details....like, meeting "via the website SugarDaddyMeet.com to a hotel in Austin". MY BAD.)

Broken Record: I believe it was still a setup as the Feral Authoritah were gunning for him (pun intended) for obvious reasons.

I do not disagree with your assessment. My assessment is that he poked the bear. Don't poke the bear.
