Just as many predicted, several countries are beginning to follow the United States' lead and move their Israeli embassies to Jerusalem in defiance of the European Union.

According to Jewish Press, Andrej Danno, the Slovak National Council, told Reuven Rivlin, the President of Israel, that Slovakia plans to move their embassy to Jerusalem.

The decision was made by the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini.

Slovakia will be the sixth country to move their embassy to Jerusalem following the Trump administration's decision to make the politically significant change.

Both Guatemala and Paraguay moved their Israeli Embassy to Jerusalem in May, just weeks after the United States.

The president of Colombia, Ivan Duque, also flirted with the idea of moving the Colombian embassy last month, saying he would not rule out “the possibility of placing the diplomatic seat in Jerusalem.”

Following President Trump’s announcement of the embassy move last year, both the EU and UN expressed their disagreement.

Jewish Press notes that in making the announcement, Slovakia is joining Bulgaria and Czech Republic in planning to move their embassies and breaking from EU’s policy of not recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

So: America, Guatamala and Paraguay, Slovakia and Bulgaria and Czech Republic are moving or have moved their embassies.

Merkel and Macron are furious, no doubt.

I fail to see any political advantage to doing the move. We gain nothing more from Israel, but do earn extra contempt from Israel's enemies. It doesn't help promote peace. Though the move could have been offered in exchange for some peace concessions, it seems it was not.

So what was the point? What did the USA gain from it? Nothing.

Israel's enemies are our enemies. Muslims are everyone's enmy.

The embassy belongs in Jerusalem. Just like we put it in other nations capitals.

The world will be a better place when Israel takes the rest of it's land back. Over the Muslims dead bodies or if the Muslim scum leaves on their own.

Israel's enemies are our enemies.

Bullshyte. Rothschild and Balfour's Zionist puppet state-establishment defacto legalized sodomy in 1963 - 'bout the same time ol' Herbie Marcuse was preparing the bloated Military Industrial golden calf for the BBQ, having manufactured the Cold War with his "analysis" of Soviet economics -- and then subverting the resistance of the American people in his role of the "Father of the new left", and the sexual revolution.

After all, who wants to eat a skinny cow... with horns?

Slovakia? Well, that settles it. If Slovakia moves their embassy to Jerusalem, that must truly be the capital.

Austria and a few others are considering the move. They participated in celebrating our embassy move while the other EU embassies boycotted attending the ceremony or celebration.

I doubt that Trump will bargain much away to countries who follow suit to move their embassies but it will still be a consideration. Sometimes, it doesn't take much more than a little persistence to get allies to follow your lead.

For France and Germnay and Brussels, the problem becomes acute when you have a situation with, say, a fourth of the EU countries moving their embassy and breaking with France's dictates on remaining in Tel Aviv. And that's another internal political crisis that the EU bureaucrats just aren't prepared to handle, given their other problems trying to corral the Hungarians and the Italians and Poles, etc.

If Slovakia moves their embassy to Jerusalem, that must truly be the capital.

You can't be that surprised that I am still a sucker for followup stories.

I hope not. Israel has to happy with simply the fact that the U.S. moved it's embassy. But, it's certainly within Israel's character and history to consider any generosity insufficient and demand more.

Do you think Putin's alleged ideological affinity with Alexander Solzhenitsyn is legitimate - or just a facade consistent with the illusion predicted by Anatoliy Golitsyn?
