Is it me, or is there something obscenely ironic in Our Rulers’ condemnation of Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook’s collecting and exploiting some users’ data, given the NSA’s collection and exploitation of all data?

I won’t even mention further exculpatory facts, such as Facebook’s wretched record on privacy, which should  scare away anyone who prizes confidentiality, or that joining its pages is entirely voluntary.

"... or that joining its pages is entirely voluntary."

Yeah, there's that. And I might add, "voluntary and frivolous".

It's not as though people are exercising commerce on Facebook. You're not doing your banking on Facebook. You're not paying bills on Facebook. You're not ordering gifts on Facebook.

Nobody needs Facebook. Plus, the information Facebook has, YOU gave them. YOU posted your personal information there to be shared.

Now, suddenly, people are complaining because that information benefitted Trump during the primary. When twice the amount of data was sucked up from Facebook and used to benefit the Obama campaign in 2012, Obama was called brilliant. No outcry. No Senate investigation. Zero media coverage.

Yeah, whitey, you got it right.

Why this is headline news is beyond me. It's a joke.

The issue I have with FaceZuck, as with most of the big leftist platforms, is the heavy-handed censorship, shadowbanning and outright destruction of opposing views - after all the bullshit (as we saw yesterday) about how they just want to make the world a better place to share lives and ideas.

Just not the ideas the Idiot Left doesn't approve.

Yes, it's an enormous waste of time, but if gramma wants to see the kids at play, God forbid there should be content about how Big Stupid Government is stealing their futures.

Yeah. They hate Trump. He should make them hate him more by launching Special Prosecutors at the Clintons, the FBI, the IRS, and everybody involved in all of their shenanigans.

They want a war? Bring it.
