YouTube is getting involved with the national gun-control debate with the announcement of some restrictions on firearms-related videos.
The online-video site will ban videos promoting or linking to websites selling firearms and accessories, as well as videos that show users how to manufacture firearms, Bloomberg.com is reporting.
YouTube says it periodically makes adjusts to its posting guidelines and released a statement saying, "While we've long prohibited the sale of firearms, we recently notified creators of updates we will be making around content promoting the sale or manufacture of firearms and their accessories," according to reports.

The website, owned by Alphabet Inc.'s Google, is a popular site for gun-related videos, and, according to the report, has faced intense criticism for hosting videos about guns, bombs, and other weapons.
The new regulations take effect in April.

They prohibit the sales of firearms or certain firearms accessories (bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, conversion kits, and magazines >30 rounds). Or, instructions on how to manufacture, convert or install them.
This would not be allowed after April 1st:
