Who exactly was David Koresh and why were so many people prepared to die for him? This documentary tries to answer that question by painting a psychological portrait of Koresh, the leader of the Branch Davidians religious sect whose Waco, Texas, compound was destroyed in a 1993 fire, killing 76 of its members, including Koresh. Via previously never-before broadcast audio and rare video footage, viewers hear from Koresh himself as well as first-person accounts from nine surviving members of the sect, including Marc Breault, described by A&E Network as "Koresh's right-hand man"; Heather Burson, who was the last child to walk out of the compound; and Kathryn Schroeder, who was one of Koresh's wives and the only female member to be charged and imprisoned after the fiery tragedy. Also, FBI agents detail their negotiation attempts with Koresh and his followers during a 51-day siege.

All you David Koresh defenders might wanna watch this 3 episode series on A&E. Koresh was knocking up all the virgin 13, 14 and 15 year olds like he was a porn star. The actual Branch Dividians and surviving family members of these young girls tell a compelling story... enough to get a warrant for Koresh and the entire building he was holed up in raping the flock.

The "New Light" doctrine Koresh inacted was a cult classic. That ordered all woman in the cult as Koresh's... and the married couples were no longer allowed to make little Branch Dividians.

Excellent!

That was argued some time after the crushing of the davidians to cast doubt on him as a bad man deserving what happened to him. It was not the original reason given to justfy the attack.

Yep, Koresh was a madman rapist. But that wasn't the excuse used by the ATF for the raid. They used his gun violations for the warrant.

Then the FBI thoroughly messed up, and caused the last assault and fire, killing EVERYONE, even the children.

Koresh could have been arrested in town easily before the raid.. But our grandstanding agencys needed a 'win'. --- Those idiot agency's cowboys are still losing...

Ever since that female teen gave that horrible statement in front of congress describing in detail how she was abused by Koresh -- and did it without any pauses, and completely absent of any emotion -- I've questioned whether this claim was a complete fabrication not unlike the babies in the incubator story about how evil the Iraqi troops were, designed to turn political opinion in favor of the US government.

Maybe he was that bad, but I wouldn't take the gov's word for it. This was the FBI, after all, and we know how much they can be trusted from Trump to the Bundy case. And oh yeah, the FBI lost all that video evidence of the initial Waco raid just like they lost a bunch of text messages recently.

In any event, regardless of how bad he may have been, Koresh could have been picked up while jogging or in town without doing a "formal" raid on the "compound". But the ATF wanted a big show and, well, they got one.

The first segment showed multiple interviews from Branch Dividians that lived with Koresh (and some were his whores) in person. They all reported the same shit. They loved the kook, at first... but after a while, it was clear he was a Jim Jones.

That's reports from people with DIRECT KNOWLEDGE. Not YELLA spin.

Koresh was undoubtedly a perv with a taste for young girls.

That didn't warrant massacring the entire Branch Davidian compound.

The cops knew he went to town regularly, often for a haircut. He could easily have been arrested away from the property.

There were no gun violations. The davidians had a federal firearms license for what they were doing. Furthermore, there was no warrent present to serve. It was was forgotten and left back on a desk in the hurry to go play shoot-em-up.

So I guess the badge-toters had no choice but to kill them in order to save them?

As opposed to just stopping and arresting him the next time he drove to town?

They even lost some of it within seconds of it being aired live. I just happened to be watching the news that morning and saw the live footage of the raid, and saw Koresh being shot by the ATF as he was standing in his open door talking with them.

Yes. There is another major push for gun control and confiscation coming up soon, and all "reasonable and responsible people should be for it."

The local sheriff arrested him once before buy just calling him on the phone and telling him he had a warrant for his arrest, and Koresh drove to town, turned himself in,and posted bond.

BTW,all through history the line between messiah and madman has been blurred, and right or wrong depended on which side of the line you stood.

A couple of people that were initially tagged as "madmen" were named Jesus and Martin Luther.

The FBI investigators admitted on in Waco, Texas, on May 2, 1993 that “the cult leader David Koresh was shot in the head and died before his headquarters were consumed by flames.”

“Officials investigating the deaths of members of the Branch Davidian cult are satisfied that a badly burned body recovered from the ashes of their compound is that of the group's 33-year-old leader. The shattered skull has been reconstructed and shows Koresh was shot in the forehead.”

“Investigators say Koresh's corpse was found - alone - near his makeshift communications room where he spent days talking by telephone with FBI negotiators during a 51-day siege. Elsewhere amid the rubble, investigators found rockets, grenades and piles of ammunition.”

I guess. That's what he did,anyhow.

It also seemed to encourage him to think there was no rational reason to surrender because all they really wanted to do was kill him. Gee,I wonder why he would think something like that?

One thing is certain. Organizations like A & E are moving heaven and earth to fabricate a story that will go down in history books as the truth.
