This is a pretty good series. The title comes from the nickname given to the area where Jack the Ripper terrorized whores in England. That area is actually named White Chapel.
To further confuse things,the only thing Jack the Ripper has to do with this is a couple of the senior policemen in this series were the policemen that tried and failed to catch Jack.
Still,it is a very good series,and as always with the English dramas,you just can't beat the realism of the acting,the clothing,or the scenery. NOBODY does period drama better than the English.
Give it a watch,and if you like it,you can watch more several places,like Netflix,Amazon,and probably a dozen more. I get both Netflix and Amazon,but watch it using Netflix because it comes as a part of their monthly subscription.

And, SneakyPete, have you checked out "Sneaky Pete" on Amazon Video? Second season's coming; first was pretty good. Lead actor is one of my favorite character actors.

Yes, I think so; liked the first season a lot and will probably rewatch before moving on to #2.

Thanks,I'm trying to finish up viewing a couple of series I already started on before I move on to something else.
Mostly anxiously waiting for the second half of the last season of Game of Thrones to come one. Pretty sure that right after the last episode ends I will start right back watching season 1,episode 1.
