The government is shut down. Yet life doesn't seem any different. It's like nobody even knows the government is shut down.
Why isn't there chaos in the streets?

You can't visit the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. So far as I know, those's are the only services affected. TSA is still on the job, I believe, so you can still get molested and pornified.
