I've seen some comments from Russian Duma members and other Russians saying how disappointed they are with Trump and how their hope that relations would improve (meaning lifting sanctions) has not panned out at all.

If they did try to help Trump, they're regretting it. Both Syria and Ukraine aren't working out as they hoped. For them, Trump is worse than Hitlery.
