The 6-year-old boy killed by a stray bullet in a shooting involving Bexar County deputies in Schertz was identified Friday by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.
Kameron Prescott was shot in the abdomen and taken to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Sheriff Javier Salazar previously said the boy was 7 years old, but the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office said on Friday that he was actually 6 years old.
Kameron was shot while inside his home in the 100 block of Peach Lane. Four Bexar County deputies had been chasing a wanted felon in the area, and they opened fire on her as she tried to break into Prescott's home. The woman, who has not been identified, was killed.
Authorities have said the woman had pointed a weapon at police during the chase, but no weapon was found on her following the shooting.
Two other people were inside the mobile home with Prescott when he was shot, but they were uninjured.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said the deputies who fired upon the suspect ranged from 2-year to 27-year veterans and used handguns and a rifle in the shooting.

So damn senseless !!! Looks like a sweet kid too! He is now in Gods arms. Sounds like a bunch of " heros " were a little too quick on the trigger.
Everyone knows you should know where your bullet is going to. And even an idiot knows a bullet will travel through a trailer. If you do not know what is on the other side of the trailer wall, you should not pull the trigger. Even Barney knows that !!
Poor kid, may he RIP !!!

Let's get back to the basics, here. Since WHEN has it been permissible to shoot someone running away?

We can only hope. Maybe they will even discover justice while running away?

Exactly, that would be point # 1. The article did not say, but I assumed the dead perp was standing on the porch, in plain sight, and was shot there, and that bullets that missed her ( or went through her ) went thru the wall and hit the child.
Supposedly she had a gun, but none was found. Maybe those deputies should get glasses. They should also not be on a paid vacation. They should not be deputies !

People who live in trailer parks deserve to be treated like anyone else.
I wonder if the reckless so called officers were more reckless since it was just trailer park folk who might get hurt by stray bullets.

I have two sons, grown now. If one of them had been gunned down like that, I would want retribution !!! It might take time, but I would eventually get it !!!
I would imagine that little boys father, uncles, etc feel the same way!!!
Like I said earlier, ultimately, God the Father will render Justice !!!
And God the father will not hold back because of their little tin badge !

True enough !!
But two tests:
1. IF they repented !
2. If it was genuine / sincere.
Only God the Father would know for sure !!
Personally, if I had been one of those deputies, and I had been that reckless and contributed to the death of an innocent, I would not be able to live with myself !

Many more children 6 and younger are shot and killed every year in Chicago, yet where are the headlines? Where's the outrage?

Your concerns for "Officer Safety" have been heard by the Chicago politicians, guns have been declared illegal, and the peons have (theoretically) been disarmed.
Enjoy your "gun free zone" utopia! All those shootings and deaths are for officer safety.

Don't tell me,tell society and the goobermint.
I wonder if the reckless so called officers were more reckless since it was just trailer park folk who might get hurt by stray bullets.
That seems to be the mentality behind far too many shootings in the black inner city ghettos,so why would it be any different for white rural "ghettos" like trailer parks?
I am NOT saying that "these people are trash that deserve to die!" is foremost in ANY sane person/cops mind, but it has to be acknowledged that it plays at least a tiny role in the subconscious of the people that patrol those areas.
Kind of a "chicken or the egg" think that seems to automatically become a reality too often.

Better grab one or two quick! Seems like they have been having a bunch of Fire Sales, and prices are really down.
There are better prices with bigger lots in that black socialist paradise named Detroit, though.
