When Amazon boss and billionaire Jeff Bezos bought the Washington Post in 2013, he also had an ongoing $600 million contract to provide cloud computing services to the CIA. That meant the Washington Post, which already had a long history of cooperation with the CIA, renewed their wedding vows with the Agency and doubled down on the alliance.
By any reasonable standard of journalism, the Post should preface every article about the CIA, or article sourced from the CIA, with a conflict of interest admission: TAKE THIS PIECE WITH A FEW GIANT GRAINS OF SALT, BECAUSE OUR NEWSPAPER IS OWNED BY A MAN WHO HAS A HUGE CONTRACT TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE CIA.
Now Bezos and his company, Amazon, have bought Whole Foods for $13.7 billion. Whole Foods is the premier retailer of natural foods in America.
The degree of profiling of Whole Foods customers will increase by a major factor. Amazon/CIA will be able to deploy far more sophisticated algorithms in that regard.
Its no secret that many Whole Foods customers show disdain for government policies on agribusiness, health, medicine, and the environment. Well, that demographic is of great interest to the Deep State, for obvious reasons. And the Deep State will now be able to analyze these customers in finer detail.
At the same time, the Amazon retail powerhouse will exercise considerable control over the food supply, since it will be selling huge numbers of food products to the public. Amazon will have new relationships with all the farmers Whole Foods has been using as suppliers.
Perhaps this disclaimer posted on every Whole Foods item is now in order: KEEP IN MIND THE FACT THAT THE OWNER OF WHOLE FOODS, AMAZON, HAS A VERY TIGHT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CIA. USE YOUR IMAGINATION.
Then there is this. The CIA has its own private company, called In-Q-Tel, which was founded in 1999 to pour investment money into tech outfits that could develop new ways to facilitate data collection, and service other CIA needs. In-Q-Tel, Jeff Bezos, and Amazon are connected. For example, here is a 2012 article from technologyreview.com:
Inside a blocky building in a Vancouver suburb, across the street from a dowdy McDonalds, is a place chilled colder than anywhere in the known universe. Inside that is a computer processor that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and the CIAs investment arm, In-Q-Tel, believe can tap the quirks of quantum mechanics to unleash more computing power than any conventional computer chip. Bezos and In-Q-Tel are in a group of investors who are betting $30 million on this prospect
Nextgov.com described the deal this way: Canadian company D-Wave Systems raised $30 million to develop quantum computing systems. Bezos Expeditions, the personal investment company of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and CIA venture capital arm In-Q-Tel participated in the latest funding round, the firm announced. The companys quantum computing technology seeks to speed up data-crunching. If successful, the technology could aid automated intelligence gathering and analysis.
Yes, automated intelligence gathering and analysis are exactly what outfits like Amazon and the CIA need for profiling the public. Other companies who have purchased products from D-Wave Systems? Goldman Sachs and Lockheed Martin. Lets see: Amazon, CIA, Goldman, Lockheeda formidable collection of Deep State players.
Buy your food from the purest natural retailer in the world, the CIA. Oops, I mean Amazon. Oops, I mean Whole Foods.

Top 10 Pieces of Modern Day Propaganda
5. Surveillance, data collection and data retention programs are only in place to keep you safe (and protect you against terrorism). Outright false. We are living in unprecedented times. A behemoth surveillance state is being constructed all around us. Every month, every week, and every day, the technology is advancing at an amazingly rapid rate. The capability to enslave us with this metastasizing technological matrix is a real and present danger.
The amount of information that agencies like the CIA and NSA can access about you is already quite scary. Facebook (in league with Deep State agencies) conducts experiments to sway your emotions and moods; Google monitors and correlates your offline activity to all the online ads youve been exposed to; China, Japan the US and other nations are now setting up pre-crime systems to find and arrest people before theyve even committed a crime. The Minority Report film was not fiction, but rather predictive programming.
All the information is fed into AI supercomputers who can predict your behavior and end up knowing you better than you know yourself. The goal has always been Total Information Awareness which uncoincidentally was the precise name of a 2003 US Military program (under DARPA) which was renamed as the Terrorism Information Awareness. Funny thing that, since terrorism is the perennial excuse proffered by the NWO agents for all their draconian implementations, spying and intrusions. Wikipedia states that according to a 2012 New York Times article, the legacy of Total Information Awareness is quietly thriving at the National Security Agency (NSA).

There's always more info that can be gathered.
But the reason why Amazon bought WF isn't important, or need not be. The question now is will Amazon allow WF to maintain it's natural food agenda, or if & when it may begin watering it down to the point where it's just an ordinary supermarket.
Corporate consolidation is really the "natural" way of capitalism, and now that one huge corp (Amazon) is running WF, it becomes less likely that it will not encounter some influence from Monsanto.

Consolidation to a certain point is natural. At the point where economies of scale are hampered by more complex logistics, further consolidation cannot occur "naturally" or economically.
So how do giant consolidations continue to grow?
That's just off the top of my head on a Sunday afternoon. In the freer portion of the market dominant consolidations based on merit only last until the merit is equaled or eclipsed by new competitors, market conditions change radically, or the extraordinary leader hits the big finish line. I can't think of any giant consolidations that have survived past these points without a close relationship to the governing class. (e.g. Disney survived largely because it was captured by Wall Street interests). The centralization of the capital markets via the Federal Reserve (or Central Bank) and its nexus to investment banks allows uneconomic consolidation to occur through access to favorable financing.
Government regulation impedes smaller companies more than it does giants. In this case the giants have a perverse economy of scale in that they can absorb the regulatory costs while their smaller competitors are driven out of business, or to sell out to the giant.
Tax advantages given to complex holding structures that aren't feasible for small companies.
Government contracts can help a small company, but the lion's share goes to the lions. Small companies are deliberately excluded based on qualifying criteria. When the federal government auctioned off the radio frequency spectrum they rigged the auction (using "Nash Equilibrium" justification) to make sure that only giants could bid.
