DONALD Trump has blasted cash rich Germany for owing “vast sums of money” to Nato.

Tweeting a day after an awkward meeting with German leader Angela Merkel, Trump demanded Berlin should cough up billions of Euros more on defence.

Germany appears to have enough money to invite the entire Muslim world for freebies , housing and courtesy gang rapes, but not the time or money to pay your debts. Get your act together Germany.

Well,MORALLY they do,but not legally. Hell, they didn't even ASK us to do this. We just took it upon ourselves after defeating them in WW-2,AND.......,we did it for our OWN benefit, not theirs.

Not entirely true, Europe was at just as great a threat from communist aggression as was the US, in fact greater threat because of the vast territory commanded by the Soviets in Europe after WWII. They had taken over the baltic states, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Checkoslovakia, Bulgaria, eastern Germany and made things difficult for Austria. The soviets truly believed you keep what you conquer.

Half of Europe was under soviet domination with soviet forces at the borders of free countries and the communists ruled in Yugoslavia, Albania with an insurgency in Greece. In this reality NATO was needed to make western Europe a baston and Trump is right, rich nations like Germany should pay for their own defense, this is not 1945. Germany has in fact conquered Europe economically and politically and this should not be at US expense

Exactly! EVERY point you made is why it was in OUR best interest to keep the Soviets from coming west.

The fact that it also benefited Germany and France is just a coincidence.

Well,technically,maybe.

I see stuff like this as Trump sending warning shots across the bows of EVERYBODY to let them know there was a new sheriff in town, and they were no longer going to be treated like dependent children.

That's just your inner-leftist fool coming out to play.

EVERYBODY that is sane hates Muslims,Americans are tired of babysitting NATO while having to provide almost all of the funding and manpower, and who DOESN'T hate Merkel's Germany?

Germans used to have a lot to be proud of,but they have allowed themselves to be brow-beaten into losing all their self-respect and cultural pride because of the Nazi's of the 30's and 40's. Granted,a LOT of that is due to the majority of the male German DNA bleeding away in the fields of Europe during the 40's and being replaced by new 3rd world immigrants, tourists, and occupation armies, but they should still be enough German DNA left to have SOME pride and self-respect. Electing that commie hag means they don't,though.
