Some are partisan appointees while the majority are not….but they are worse than partisan appointees.

They are confirmed loyal diehard “card carrying” Democrats whose employment span multiple administrations and need to be "drained from the swamp.”

Oh,it's worse than that. I bet if you were to check the family blood lines of the top administrators you would discover family linkages that go all the way back to right after the Revolutionary War.

They are in fact a shadow government. Sometimes that works for peace because they work for economic stability because it's good for business, but at other times they work for war because someone has taken over another government, booted out their family representatives in that nation, and shut down their profits and their influence. That's when they want to go to war.

How exactly Putin meddles in American politics?

HUNDREDS of ways, just like every other national leader meddles in the politics of every other government on the planet in order to seek better deals for his or her own nation.

It's a prime part of the job.

You might as well say "span multiple generations" as many of them actually represent old-line New England as well as OLD England banking families.

There is a VERY incestuous relationship between Old Money European banking families and the US State Department. The old family people like the Harriman's seem to be out of the picture these days, but in many cases they are still there, but hiding under the names the Harriman daughters and their daughters married into. One married a man named Prescott Bush in the last century, for example.

These people represent no one but themselves and the family banking interests. Sometimes that is the same as American interests, but that is just a coincidence.

Old line families are not much anymore.

The problem is that corporations simply amass too much money and power too quickly, with much greater command and control. Families are quarrelsome, small, and the individuals don't have staffs to deal with one another the way that corporate bodies too.

It's swell to be part of an old line family, and there is certainly the security of wealth there for many of them, but the wealth fades in comparison to the wealth of modern corporations. There are very few truly large wholly family-owned corporations.

Stupid is her normal mode. Putting a chemical in her coffee,or more likely morning glass of wine,to make her stupider might even have the opposite effect. After all,you can't go any further than to the bottom, and then you have to start coming back up.

I know, but I expected something more spectacular - like Russian hackers falsifying American elections or at least putting some stuff in Mrs Clinton's coffee to make her say stupid things during her presidential campaign.

Clearly, the Xlinton campaign was totally inept at computer security. Their own fault, particularly Podesta's emails. Their errors were pretty much self-inflicted.

To the extent that the Russians "hacking" (i.e. revealing that the DNC stacked the deck against Bernie, the true disparaging opinions of Xlinton insiders like Podesta toward their own voters) affected the election, it was because the voters had accurate info about the candidate and how much she and the Xlinton gang despised pretty much everyone.

As SoS, Hitlery did meddle in Vlad's 2011 election, more to delegitimize his inevitable election rather than a serious attempt to unseat him. So Vlad was, in many ways, trying to return the favor to her. We should not too readily dismiss a certain Russian habit of revenge for perceived insulting behavior.

I don't think the Russians ever imagined, any more than anyone else in the West, that Trump would actually beat Hillary. I do think that Vlad would find delegitimizing the American election, worthwhile in itself but even more so against Hitlery, to be in his own interests as he is not a fan of democracy to begin with. He tolerates it, or at least the trappings of it.

Vlad made a typical Russian play to downgrade a democratic election in the leading Western country with an eye to upcoming elections in the EU, eastern Europe and Turkey. Russia is authoritarian and prefers to deal with other autocratic regimes.

FWIW,I am personally opposed to "convenience" abortions after the 3rd month.

However, what I am opposed to and what makes me happy are irrelevant because we are talking about a law,and laws have to be defined in black and white so people understand what they can do legally, and what they can't do legally.

And regardless of how *I* think about abortion,I am not arrogant enough to demand that MY opinion outweigh the opinion of some young girl or woman who is pregnant as the result of a rape,or whose life would be at risk if she were to try to carry to term. EVERYBODY has the right to self-defense,even pregnant woman.

And don't try to pull that "the baby has a right to life, too!" nonsense because a fetus is NOT a baby. If it were a baby, the legal term for it would be "baby",NOT fetus. Don't like the law? Change it.

I am NOT a legal expert, but I THINK "manslaughter" is a big gray zone in the law, where it is not clear the doer's life was at risk, but it's not really clear it wasn't,either.

This way a jury of his or her peers, proving his or her peers are retired geezers with nothing else to do,bored housewives,or unemployed men,get to make the call instead of a judge.

And of course,it is probably rare in cases where the defendant is charged with manslaughter for the defendant to get serious prison time,or for them to not be able to return a "justifiable homicide" verdict. After all,if it was murder, the charge should have been murder.

So you suggest you win by paying outrageous amounts of school and property taxes where the state USES YOUR TAX MONEY TO DEFEND THEIR OWN NAZI RULES, REGULATIONS AND LAWS against you? Is that how you win?

When a KOOKIFONIAN sues the state for immoral laws... where do you think the state gets the legal funds to pay for the states DEFENSE, you think that's free?

lol

"everyone in KOOKIFONIA" pays, in some form for their chains. Some like the chains, others don't... both are equally guilty of supporting the hand that binds them.

Most of the people here you call paultards voted for Trump.

They say they did and if they did….then it proves that a few Paultard libertarians can occasionally display some good sense.

But that does not hold true for the numbers of libertarians who are emerging as Trump resistance. As some Never Trumpers slowly fade off into the sunset….libertarians have taken up the cause.

You find the voices that have aligned with liberty movement are more often among the loudest ones now pushing back on Trump and his various proposals as libertarians continue to express misgivings.

The priorities are diverse in the often-contrarian liberty movement, and there has been diversity, too, in their criticism, ranging from the sense that the “Wall Street establishment” has been overly empowered by a number of Trump’s personnel selections who have deep ties to Goldman Sachs, to fears for civil liberties protections. Many libertarians were also plenty critical of George W. Bush, some activists note, so it’s not a big leap for them to express concerns about another Republican president.

Libertarians are a fickle group….unreliable and unpredictable.

Don’t believe me….that libertarians are anti-Trump?

Then just take a look at what the libertarian’s Bible, reason.com, has to say about it:

*Of Course* Libertarians Are Leading the Charge Against Trump's Authoritarianism

See, I told you …

Or, at least I tried to tell you!

In FACT,there are a LOT of conservatives that live in Ca. The problem is they live in the rural areas and work, instead of living in the big cities and living off of government jobs and welfare. That's why you never hear of them.

Same thing when I was living in Colorado. Get outside of Denver,Aspen,Golden,Boulder, and Colorado Springs, and you run into nothing BUT conservatives.

And it was getting worse every year in Colorado because a lot of the leftist loons that voted for all the free stuff in Ca had to move away once the taxes were raised to pay for all the stuff they voted for. So they moved to Colorado, mostly Denver,Aspen,Vail,or Boulder, and immediately started lobbying for the same laws they lobbied for that made Ca unlivable for them.

Everyone cannot afford to move.

Ah, the old catch-22 situation: Everyone cannot afford to move out of California – while a lot of people are moving out of California because they can't afford to live there anymore.

For every home buyer coming into the state, there are three Californians selling and moving elsewhere. [Data analysis firm CoreLogic].

Incomes just haven't kept up with the home price bonanza for many people -- particularly for the working and middle class. Despite strong job and wage growth, the Golden State has been losing residents for years and could be facing a shortage of middle-wage workers, according to a report from Beacon Economics released in March.

Anyone stuck in California can “bite the bullet” now, or they can “bite the bullet” later….in either case, it will be tough.

Why, because I was just naturally Born Free.

Natural birth in a farmhouse with a neighbor lady from the next farm over attending.

How much more “being free” with a start in life like that could I possibly be?

I’ll answer my own question….NONE.

Ya know, I was born so free that even an ever popular song with music by John Barry and lyrics by Don Black was written about me.

Want to hear it?

Sure you do!

Just listen:

Like it?
