The leader of the California Senate recently used his closing remarks in a Senate hearing to downplay how concerning it is if illegal immigrants engage in identity theft, then later doubled down on his defense in an interview on Southern California Public Radio.
An outraged Capitol staffer brought the former point to my attention, while a former Republican assemblyman also wrote about the latter in a recent piece on the Breitbart website. This appalling news has garnered no noticeable outrage or media coverage despite the implications for those who have been victimized by such crimes.
Half of my family would be eligible for deportation under President Donald Trumps recent executive order, said Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon, D-Los Angeles, if they got a false Social Security card, if they got a false identification, if they got a false drivers license prior to us passing (a bill allowing illegal immigrants to have drivers licenses). De Leon added at the Capitol hearing that almost everybody has secured some sort of false identification.
Those were from his closing remarks on Senate Bill 54, which would turn California into a sanctuary state. Various cities have been embracing variants of this sanctuary approach, even if the specifics vary by jurisdiction. Some cities use different terminology.

When they lose their desire for an underclass of cheap laborers. Maybe when their gardeners organize and demand $15/hr and full benefits.

It seems to me your options SHOULD be to wave bye-bye to them as they are deported back to Mexico,or take your ass back there with them.
The United States does NOT exist to provide a living and health care for you and your family of foreigners.
We MUST eliminate instant citizenship for every foreign invader that happened to be born here.

They aren't. Wake up! He truly represents the viewpoints of the majority of the voters that put him in office. Who do you propose to run against him that has any chance at all of winning?
California is a lost cause. Time to completely cut them off from the federal dollar tap. No form of aid at all. If they like Mexico so much, let Mexico have them.
Don't forget, the majority of the Mexiforno's that live there invaded California for a better standard of living, including more pay, better health care, safety, better housing, etc, etc, etc. They did NOT come here because they wanted to be Americans.
Cut off federal money and support of all sorts, and it becomes the northernmost Mexican providence. Let these goobers return to living like Mexicans and see how well they like it.
I'm betting that within a year they will all want to be a part of America again.

I completely agree, and have felt that way for some time.
I guess we should load up all Fed assets, Like the SF mint, and move them.
Also, we have various military assets there, such as San Diego, Edwards AFB, Ft Irwin, Camp Pendelton, etc. I guess we could review, and close down any that we really don't need, and the others look at them just like we do other bases around the world & keep. And there, we would not need to pay a lease. And if the State did leave the union, we would be rid of a bunch of liberals in the House & the Senate.
Sounds like a win win !

Yup. We don't need a mint in a foreign country.

Shut them DOWN,and strip them down to the bare bones before leaving. While we are at it,shut down all the veterans hospitals,SS offices, etc, etc, etc. Do NOT leave one single building standing unless Mexico wants to pay for it.
And to finish it off,a life-time ban on immigration to the US for any denizen of Ca that was registered to vote Dim. THESE are the SOB's responsible for the destruction of Ca,and they need to stay there and suffer like everyone else.
