NEW YORK — A Massachusetts man who authorities say assaulted a Muslim airline employee at New York’s Kennedy Airport is facing hate crime charges.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office says 57-year-old Robin Rhodes, of Worchester, was waiting for a flight to Massachusetts Wednesday night when he approached Delta employee Rabeeya Khan, who wears a hijab, while she was sitting in her office.

Prosecutors say Rhodes asked Khan if she was praying. He then punched the door and kicked her leg. Khan fled and prosecutors say Rhodes followed her, got to his knees as if he was praying, cursed Islam and shouted “Trump is here now. He will get rid of you.”

Rhodes has been charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment, menacing and harassment as hate crimes. It’s unclear if he has an attorney who can comment.

Simple assault would do it, IMO. The police/DA are getting carried away.

You can not be islamic and reject the principles and examples establifhed by the groups leader. As such Kahn displayed herself as a defiant or provative advocate or sympathizer of Jihad. She is a disgraceful enemy dedicated to undermining American and Western civilization. I would celebrate jury nullification of all charges against Rhodes.

57-year-old Robin Rhodes, of Worchester,...

Should we trust a news report when they misspell Worcester?

I suppose my problem is that my standards are too high.     : )

One of Trump's "dream students" working for AP, below minimum wage?

According to a statement from the DA's office, Robin Rhodes, 57, of Worcester, was returning from a trip to Aruba, waiting for a connecting flight, when he spotted Rabeeya Khan, a contracted employee of the airport, sitting in her office.

Rhodes allegedly starting banging on her office door, yelling obscenities at her and kicking her leg. The DA's office report said that when Khan tried to escape, Rhodes got down on his knees and began imitating Muslim prayers.

He then began shouting at Khan, "(obscenity) Islam, (obscenity) ISIS, Trump is here now. He will get rid of all of you. You can ask Germany, Belgium and France about these kind of people. You will see what happens," according to the statement.

You have a lot of nerve going down that road since you suck off Ronny PAULTARD at every chance you can... and his cult followers are mostly career criminal shitbags that can be found in Wikipedia due to their deaths caused by domestic terrorism

Sure Trump has a percentage of shitkickers, klan douches and low IQ sister fuckers that support him. But for the most part, Trump is supported by mainstream conservative hard working America.... that's fed up with welfare, criminal Shitbags and apologists like you.

That frankenstein psychosis that calls itself a religion has been responsible for the deaths of over 300 million people. It undertook a mission to conquer Europe but was stopped in the European West by Charles Martel and the Franks, and again, in Eastern Europe, by the King of Poland in 1683. It it is now in the process of conquering Europe again with the recent help of Obama, Hillary, Kerry, and Merkel. Islam is now on the warpath here with the help of some intellectually blind or subversive goofs. Any person flaunting the lunatic islamic uniform should be rightfully viewed with mistrust, disgust, revulsion, and hostility. It's a cruel world when you receive what you ask for.

Rhodes may be one of the sanest men in this country.

Sounds fake story. Also, why are all the Muslims working at the airports? I travel and every airport has hijab wearing Pakistanis or Arabs there. Is pay so low they can only find blacks or refugees to fill those jobs?

Authoritarian followers (like you) are highly submissive to established authority, aggressive in the name of that authority, and conventional to the point of insisting everyone should behave as their authorities decide.

They are fearful and self-righteous and have a lot of hostility in them that they readily direct toward various out-groups

They are easily incited, easily led, rather un-inclined to think for themselves, largely impervious to facts and reason, and rely instead on social support to maintain their beliefs.

Is it really so finicky to expect people to know how to spell Worcester? I've never been there and I knew its correct spelling. It isn't a big city but it does get its name in the news now and then, often enough that I knew the correct spelling.

If 90% of news is who/what/when/where, then isn't spelling the place name correctly a requirement if you expect others to respect the quality of your reporting, let alone expect advertisers to pay you money for ads in your sick little rag (or website)?

Might be a false flag Trumpkin community agitator. They've got a big protest going at JFK.

Common sense is out the window, it's all divisive crapola on both sides...

I don't know.

How credible would you find a news report about the state of Conneticut and Senator Blumenthol?

If you can't even be bothered to check the spelling of the name of place or person you're reporting on, how can the writer be trusted with any of the (alleged) facts in the article?

I would think it was a typo and move on, if I noticed it. I skim most things I read for content, not detail. When I go detailed, I go very detailed. I'll do that for something like the Scriptures or the Constitution, or a contract, but I never do that with infotainment.
