Maybe she will try,but she and Bubba are no longer in positions to use the power of government to punish anyone who doesn't go along with it.
Having the blackmail "goods" is only half of what you need to be successful at using it for wealth and power. You also need power to the point where YOU are personally untouchable and you do it from behind a firewall that can't be breached.
Bubba and Bubbette! are on their own now,and even their former "friends" are now their enemies.
I think Bubba is smart enough to realize he can no longer get away with playing in the big leagues,and will limit himself to intimidating cocktail waitresses and similar powerless people,but Bubbette! is stupid enough she might try it and if she does,she will get squashed like a bug.
