Russia's New Conservative Allies in the US: The 'Alt-Right' Phenomenon
For those that have been paying attention, the rise of the Alt-Right is as surprising, as it is entirely expected

What is the Alt-Right?
If you listen to the mainstream media, the Alt-Right is the birth of an American far right Frankenstein that was mid-wifed by Donald Trumps inflammatory rhetoric in this election cycle.
But what we are seeing now is bigger than even Donald Trump. It is part of a massive paradigm shift that has been underway for some time now. For those that have been paying attention, it is clear that nationalist, patriotic movements are everywhere ascendant in the West.

Is US a serious country?
We now live in a nation where kids are told that anti-communist hysteria in the 50s was uncalled for(at a time when Stalin ruled over all of Eastern Europe) but that we need a new cold war because Putin is Hitler because uh no homo parades in Russia.
Are we living in a joke wrapped in a farce in a bamboozle?

Paul Manafort spent most of the last decade as a communications advisor to Viktor Yanukovych ,the pro-Russian ousted President of Ukraine. The Trumpsters actively worked to change the party platform that called for assistance to Ukraine against Russian aggression
One of Trump's major foreign policy advisors is Carter Page ,a pro-Russian with ties to Gazprom.
Trump changed the party position on NATO indicating in his address that the US would not necessarily come to the aid of our NATO allies in the Baltics.
Are these policies based on his true beliefs or are they because of his indebtedness to Russian finances ? This issue will be explored in detail by the Democrats before the campaign is finished..

IF they refused to pay their fair share of military expenses. It had nothing to do with Russia.

The Baltic States are some of the few states in NATO that actually fund their defenses to treaty agreed amts .Article 5 of NATO was invoked once BY THE US after 9-11 and the Baltic States did their part . Estonia has had troops on the ground since the beginning of our response in Afghanistan . The Polish contingent still honors Article 5 and has troops in Afghanistan . Lithuania kept troops their until 2013 .
Now if the Russians pour troops into the Suwalki Gap ,and try to lay claim to the territory between Belarus and Kaliningrad ....and the Pole and the Lithuanians invoke Article 5 ;will President Trump allow American forces to be deployed to defend our NATO allies ? Or will he demand cash in advance ?

Best to avoid that question altogether by having every nation paying their fair share before something happens. After all, that WAS the agreement, wasn't it?

The nations I mention do. The nations that have not lived up to their NATO obligations are not under a threat at this time. What do we get out of our treaty agreements ? We are forward based against any potential nation we would have a war with . Is it worth it ? Evidently Trump doesn't think so. But the full extent of his strategic thinking is "I'm gonna bomb the hell out of them " .

Trump mentioned two problems with NATO. 1) Some are not paying their fair share. 2) Their mission is obsolete and needs to be refocused on terrorism, not an invasion by Moscow.

either he naively believes that Russia isn't a legitimate threat to the former Soviet block nations ,or he favors Russian dominance over them .
