Officials have confirmed that two law enforcement officers have died and at least five others were injured during an early morning shooting on Airline Highway near Old Hammond Highway in Baton Rouge.

“The scene seems to be contained right now, but it is still active,” said Sgt. Don Coppola, Baton Rouge Police Department. “We’re asking everyone to stay out of the area.”

Multiple agencies responded to the B Quick store on Airline Hwy shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday morning. Officials confirm that several Baton Rouge Police Officers and East Baton Rouge Parish Deputies were struck during gunfire.

Investigators are working to determine how many shooters were possibly involved.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reported Airline North and South is closed between Goodwood Boulevard and I-12.

3 Officers dead, 3 wounded and one suspect dead. 2 more suspects at large but one may have been captured.

Not sure if this has something to do with stupid BLM people or just a bad thing.

"There was a shooting, we believe there are multiple suspects, one suspect is deceased," Corporal McKneely said.

"Multiple officers were shot. We have some that have been killed. That's what I know for sure right now."

He said they were using a robot to check that the gunman who had been shot dead had not been carrying explosives, but stressed that was only a precaution.

A robot will blow everything to smithereens, so that there are no conflicting stories.

The taxpayers gave them bomb robots, so they're eager to blow stuff up. It's the latest "trendy" craze.
