Irrelevant to the current context - one can say "a rational candidate" but one can't grammatically say "a patience candidate".

Thanks for the link! Under that reading, all the elements on your list may be (functionally) nouns ... but they're still not parallel: "rational" fits the template "candidates who may be described as" whereas "patience" fits the different template ""candidates who possess the quality of".
