Heres an ADHD story reported by the mainstream media that boggles the mind. A young boy with energy to spare is, in the age of Drugs First, deemed a problem.
This storys theme is that when these normally energetic children are deemed a problem to society because they are not happy about being forced to be captive in the government schools, something has to be done to rectify the situation.
The newsflash here is that addressing the childs behavior first instead of immediately drugging the child is a promising new approach and an approach that could change the way young children are treated.

Ya think?
And there is nothing new about it. Prior to the 1960's,when all those nutcases got degrees as shrinks so they could treat themselves, the standard treatment for hyper kids was "take your ass outside the house and don't come back in until dinner time!" You cut them loose to run around and play outside with their friends, and they would then spend all day doing stuff like playing baseball, basket ball, tag, hide and seek, etc, etc, etc, and by the time they came back in they would have burned away all that excess energy.
In school, these kids were mostly "treated" by promoting them to higher grades ahead of their peers so they wouldn't be so bored.
Today the parents keep these kids in the house and let them spend all day doing crap like playing video games that only make them more hyper, and what the schools do is put them in classes with the mentally slow children, and bomb them out with drugs to keep them quiet.
Hell, mothers have known since the caveman days that the way to keep children in line was to chase them out of the cave and let them burn their energy off running and doing other kid stuff. It was only when the mama's boy geeks that got the snot beat out of them in public schools got doctorate degrees and started punishing these children by locking them away in rooms with nothing to challenge their minds and drugged to keep them from escaping that all these problems started. The pencil-necked geeks and fat mama's boys are finally getting even with the hyper kids that picked on them in the 3rd grade by destroying their lives.
There sure as hell ain't nothing new about children,so Occam's razor clearly suggests the problem MUST be with the new methods that are being used to deal with them.
