These sermons pertain to the Rapture of the Church and the Day of Judgement.

We become worm food. That's what I've been told.

What Happens to Christians Who Die?

They're typically buried under a heavy piece of rock.

Do you see a difference between the body and soul?

Do you see a difference between the body and soul?

There is a massive difference, to be sure.

Do you see a difference between the body and soul?

One is very real and the other is just a figment of the imagination?

Not that there is anything wrong with that. If it makes you happy to think you have a soul and it will go to a place called Heaven,go for it. I see the attraction, but don't see any reality.

Well, many don't see the reality.

Well, many don't see the reality.

I think it is more a case of some of us see reality in a different manner than others.

What Happens to Christians Who Die?

The much more interesting question is What Happens To Christians That Don't Die?

It's the Rapture of the Church.

You are absolutely correct.

Do you see a difference between the body and soul?

Based on my upbringing, yes I do. The soul is eternal and the body is worm food.

I guess we'll find out.

The body will indeed return to dust from where it came. Tell you what. If you listen to those two sermons regarding death, you will know from where I am coming. That is the easiest way to tell you the Christian viewpoint on death and the Rapture of the Church. Many don't believe in the Rapture, but the sermons do explain it.

I listened for a little bit, thanks.

People start to die the moment they are born. I had a friend who was born on the very same day as I. He died at the age of 21 of a heart condition. None of us know how long we will live. I will pray for your friend.

It's the Rapture of the Church.

The Church dies? The Church lives? The "rapture of the church" is a misnomer as it does not refer to the Church itself but to the corpus of Christians.

I am talking about people, specifically Christians, and, in the context of the article which asks "What Happens to Christians Who Die?. I was mocking the question. All people die {or are radically changed}, including Christians referred to in described in 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17:

"The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so we shall always be with the Lord."

In this context the question is nonsensical. Dead Christians will rise and be joined by the then living Christians both being transformed to a different existence. What need is there for the Church after that?

I know you were mocking the question. There are many mockers. The Church Age will be finished at that point. The Church itself, the invisible Church, is the body of believers. There will be people saved after the end of the Church Age, but they are slated for the Tribulation Period. The Church won't be on Earth for the Tribulation Period.
