It doesn’t like LSD Ale either. Wisconsin brewer Indeed Brewing Company can no longer market or label its seasonal spring honey beer as LSD Ale even though the LSD stands for “Lavender Sunflower Date.” And you thought we lived in a free society.

Can we get the "Feds" to change their name to "Idiots wasting our tax dollars"?

Wonder if they'll make the city of Chicago change the name of Lake Shore Drive?

They could still sell it in their home state. But they want their brand to cross state lines.

They could also have franchised it into a couple of spinoff companies that operated only in each state they wanted to sell in. The feds could have done nothing.

So this isn't much of a story really. And it seems to me they were banking on the memorability or suggestion of LSD to help sell their beer.

You have to wonder how far this kind of regulation can go. For instance, will "Hooters" get regulated as an interstate franchise because its name offends and supposedly objectifies women? It sounds ridiculous at first but it isn't as ridiculous as the feds going after this LSD Ale is.

That's too bad. I was really hoping it would be reported they were all tripping twice a day at work,so it would explain what has been happening since the 60's.
