After what cruz did, I will never vote for him. Never in my 72 years do I ever remember a candidate posting a picture, in his ad, of another candidates wife.
Cruz is pond scum. Compared to Cruz, Clinton is a lady.
nominate whom you want, but, if it is Donald Trump I will vote Republican, if it is cruz I will blank the race.

As for those who say "That is a vote for Hillary" I say SO What, yes, she is a horrible liar but, Cruz is worse.

There's that, and the fact that she isn't running for president. He is.
People want a real man for president, and a woman like that kindof proves Trump is a real man.
I do think Cruz's attempted smear will backfire, as just about all attempted smears on Trump have done thus far. He's inadventently illustrating the fact that Trump is not about maintaining the standard political image. He's a real guy and a lot of voters will like that. A lot of men will probably be able to relate to him better in one more way that adds to all the other ways they already can relate to him.

Explain, to your wife, what cruz or his campaign staff did, ask her what she would do if you did something like that.
Cec had to think but then she said, "Robert, you would never do anything like that, and no one that worked for you would ever dare to do that behind your back and without your express permission, you are not a swine." When she calls me Robert, I know she is serious.
I cannot fathom how any woman could vote for Cruz after that, first it is an accident with Dr. Carson and now it's not his fault, again, with this picture?
Cruz is a pervert, not just a liar but a pervert. I do not for a moment think he is a Christian.

I think you were just looking for some excuse to dramatically announce your never-Cruz position.
And there are at least 10 times as many never-Trumpers than there are never-Cruzers (if such things actually matter). Not that I think they do, at least not in the pre-convention primary season.

Childish. No Cruz is not worse or even in the same world.
The only 2 candidates worth the trip to the poles are Trump and Cruz. The only 2 people fighting the establishment are Trump and Cruz. There is enough mud being thrown on both sides.
I get everyone wants their guy but OMG why the GOP needs enemies when we fight each other till no one is viable.
Give me Trump and I will pull the lever. Give me Cruz and I will pull the lever. Other than that im going to watch this country implode from my couch.

Trump's polling is even worse than Hitlery's is. At least, at present.
Unless Trump can turn out a huge mass of new voters that don't currently register in polling of registered voters or likely voters, it's hard to see how he can win. Even if you toss in a few wild card states where Trump might have unique appeal (NY, PA, FL).
Trump's polling against Hitlery is real bad, no matter how lousy and repellant she is as a nominee. Still, Trump has had big turnouts in these GOP primaries, driving primary turnout to new records. It isn't clear how many of these are new Trump voters and how many are just Republicans intent on voting.
I've yet to see any very good analysis of Trump's voter demographics by someone like Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight, whether he's bringing out long-inactive GOP voters or grabbing up the old Perot voters (an easy grab for Trump that other GOP candidates can't compete with). It's probably some mix of active GOP voters, long-absent GOP voters, and the older Perot voters.

The primary results you're quoting are mostly from the REPUBLICAN zombie faithful. These are the people who nominated the last two losers, McCain and Mitt. Republicans aren't going to elect the next president. It will take independents, crossover democrats, and even people who've never voted before.
Nominating someone with high disapproval numbers, means that you're voting for Hillary, just like voting for McCain and Mitt meant that you're voting for Obama. See how that works?

All considered, I do hope Trump wins the presidency. That doesn't mean I like everything he stands for. He seems to have an authoritarian streak in him. He wants an even bigger military than we have now, he favors torture and it seems he's no fan of liberty.
But on the positive side, he is not a standard politician, or seems not to be. He comes off instead as a real person who can think and is not afraid to change his mind if circumstances warrant it, and he would do so unapologetically, which is cool. He's also not in the pocket of any special interests. It seems likely he will declassify stuff even if it's embarrassing to the US gov just because he believes in the right of ordinary Americans to know the truth. And it seems likely that standard corrupt politics in DC will get a serious crackdown under a Trump administration.
With any other of the mainstream candidates, we know nothing will change. With Trump, things might change a lot. Maybe they won't, but the best chance of really upsetting the applecart comes with Trump, not Hillary or Cruz or anyone else. So yes, I hope Trump wins.
I've noticed this too. He has broad appeal with many cross sections of American life, and it seems internationally too.

Please never be so stupid as to apply for a job with me or one of my sons, you see, no records, no HS, College, etc records, no DD214, etc, no job.
Cruz, the slime wants the job of being president, we, his potential employers, are entitled to see his records.
Unless of course he has something to hide, like no proof he entered the US legally.
Does the below not bother you:
Ted Cruz could not have entered the U.S. legally without a CRBA or a U.S. passport, the latter of which was not obtained until 1986.
If Ted Cruz was registered as a U.S. citizen at birth, as his spokeswoman claims, then the CRBA must be released. Otherwise, one could conclude that Cruz came to the U.S. as a Canadian citizen, perhaps on a tourist visa or, possibly, remained in the U.S. as an illegal immigrant.

Compared to what?
I have only 2 candidates to choose from. Trump and Cruz. Both talk big but one has a record that is not so good. The other talks big and backs up his word with actions.
I can hold my nose and vote Trump. I am willing to take a chance Trump over Clinton any day. I would rather vote for Cruz the smarter more consistent conservative slash libertarian who is a known quantity.
This is what always happens in the GOP. We slaughter all the true conservative slash libertarian candidates and leave nothing but the wimpy middle of the road candidate who compromises away the conservative/libertarian beliefs for the progressive beliefs.
Also who says Trump is going to do all he says when he has not done one thing to prove he can?
If Cruz beats Trump in a fair fight and you do not vote for him over Clinton you are a fool!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Trump is screwed over then the GOP will lose and I will stay at home like a good portions of people.
