By CHRISTOPHER M. MATTHEWS March 18, 2016 2:18 p.m. ET Donald Trump and his real-estate school are headed toward a potentially unprecedented trial this year that could feature the Republican presidential front-runner taking the stand, barring a surprise ruling from a New York state judge or a last-minute settlement.

Justice Cynthia Kern could decide in a hearing scheduled for April whether to hold a trial over allegations by the New York Attorney General that Trump University fraudulently bilked students out of a collective $40 million. Mr. Trump is a defendant in the case....

(NY Attorney General). Schneiderman filed a civil lawsuit against the now-defunct Trump University in 2013 alleging that it exploited Mr. Trump’s celebrity status to persuade people to enroll in expensive courses that failed to deliver on their promises. Trump University defrauded more than 5,000 students in New York out of thousands of dollars each, according to the complaint, by billing itself as a real-estate school and charging students as much as $35,000 without having proper licensing.

I forget, was (D-)onald (D-)rumpf pretending to be a Republican or Democrat in 2013?

Glad that I couldn't afford his course at the time. I wanted to be a top-rated slum lord way back then.

Hmmm, that might keep him in the race against his will. If he is the alleged Republican nominee, the RNC will get a law passed setting aside any trial until after the election, and if he wins, until after he has served out his term of office.

The chances of a former US president being forced to testify in court of being convicted of fraud are less than zero. Every judge that draws a breath dreams of a higher office, and all of them know issuing a subpoena to a former president would be the death of any jurist career.

Is (D-)er (D-)rumpfenfuhrer going to purger himself and deny TU had a big D- from the BBB or will he manage to somehow control the pathological urge to lie when testifying?

[Donald Trump gets an ‘F’ for a video he posted to YouTube purporting to tell the “truth” about Trump University, the real-estate program that has been the subject of three ongoing lawsuits alleging fraud. In the video, Trump holds up a sheet of paper showing that the Better Business Bureau gave Trump University an “A” rating, claiming it proves that what he said during the March 3 debate was correct. That’s false. As we wrote in our debate story, the most recent BBB rating for Trump University that we could find for the program was a “D-” in 2010 — which is when the school stopped taking new students.]

Maybe Hillary will sue him for breach of contract.

Seems like almost anything is possible these days, doesn't it?

I'm not going to be surprised if he picks JEB to be his running mate. Think of all the business contacts in Asia and south/central America that would open up for him if he did.

2+2=5

Imagine the conundrum that'd be for fans of Trump the "outsider".

OTOH, I think maybe Mizz Palin can see the VP hut from her house.

One thing is for certain, and this that the Ruling Class aren't about to let a little thing like citizens choice threaten their grasp on the seats of power.
