Its been nearly two months since the BP leased oil rig, Transocean Deepwater Horizon, burned and sank into the ocean. Its been nearly two months since the beginning of America's biggest environmental crisis... Yesterday, President Obama went down to the Gulf again. I keep hoping, somehow, some way, he is going to start telling the truth about this disaster. Apparently, its never going to happen. To tell lies is one thing. To be stupid and say stupid things, is another thing. To say something utterly dangerous, to an audience full of shell shocked Gulf residents...that is just scary.
After strolling down the beach, oblivious to the oil and Corexit, only feet away from him, President Obama made his obligatory teleprompter speech. In this speech, he said that the seafood from the gulf was perfectly safe to eat. He even went so far as to say that he ate it himself. Right, sure you did. I'm sure your personal chef trotted down to some fisherman and bought you shrimp from the Gulf. I'd believe you more if you said that you were a time traveling alien sent to save earth from Satan worshiping robots.
