North American Indian religion is MUCH different than that practiced in central and South America...and is much more like the Jewish religion. Both believe in ONE God. The Indians called him Grandfather, or the Great Spirit. And they revered life, and respected it. They prayed to the animal they killed to ask it's spirit for forgiveness for having to kill it for food, and they used every single bit of the animal - nothing went to waste. Compare that to the kosher way of killing an animal in the most painless humane method possible so as to not inflict unnecessary pain and suffering on the creature. There are a lot of similarities. He's looking good and we're all pretty excited about his prospects since we switched trainers. But with this being his first start off a layoff, the handicappers would likely advise against betting for him. I hope he has long odds and wins...of course. We consider his first race a throwaway. TVG shows odds and results from CD but not the races, unless it's a big stakes race, and those are replays from HRTV. HRTV shows CD racing. I have both stations. Our partner got us reservations for 20 in the Jockey Club Suites, so that will be a first for me. I'm usually there in the cheap seats with the peons.
