When Sarah Palin called into Glenn Beck's radio show yesterday, the conversation turned to her new neighbor, unauthorized biographer Joe McGinniss. So how's Palin dealing with the journalist next door? "Todd and his buddies started a fence yesterday and it's looking good," Palin said. "It's about 14 feet high. That's what we're going to have to do this summer, I guess." It looks like her husband Todd and his friends work quickly. Fox News host Greta Van Susteren has posted a photo of the finished fence on her blog, noting that it's there "to protect against the 'Wasilla Stalker.'" Beck, who blasted McGinniss and his publisher Random House on Tuesday, said that he'll no longer mention their books on his show. "Shame on random house," he said. Good for her. Attacking a political/public figure like Palin is expected, and allowed for. But invading the privacy of her family? Thats bullshit.

I doubt it.
Any board fence that high needs to be engineered with at the minimum posts every eight feet and lots of bracing The next big Alaskan windstorm takes that hokified fence down, but maybe more garbage sacks piled up will provide the needed support. LOL A good chain link with dense shade cloth would have been a better choice, but more expensive.

I think you are right. The weight of that fence coming down on them won't be pretty. For Palin's sake I hope that fence doesn't extend into public access areas. If I was the owner of that neighboring property I would make them pull it.

The 1x4 nailed on her side will insure the fence goes down as a unit rather than popping the boards and relieving the pressure.

I'd sue her. She's certainly lowered the property value of the neighboring property.
That would be fun. lol If they used deck screws it's just a simple disassemble with most of the wood able to be reused.

They added a fence above a fence. How novel is that? I've seen mobile home owners add an exterior around their domicile to make it look like a real home. It must be a similar concept. LOLOL

That fence looks exactly like what one would expect the Wasilla hillbillies to build. I wonder how many cars on blocks they have sitting in front of the house?
I've always heard that unless your hiding something you should always welcome all scrutiny, especially from law enforcement authorities. Unless you're a public figure I guess. Is it raining were you are? It's literally pouring here today.

When I lived in the Pacific Northwest I built a six foot fence around my property. I did it right with 8 foot posts sunk 2 feet into the ground and full bracing. The first time we had a 70mph windstorm, sections of that fence took off like flying carpets, ending up all over the neighborhood. Fortunately, I lived in a rural area, so nothing was hit by the flying fence sections. I see a big lawsuit in the Palin's future, although they'll blame it on the Palin haters.
I was thinking of birthers who demand Obama release all his records going back to kindergarten. Is it raining were you are? It's literally pouring here today. It just started - not pouring though.
