#5. To: JoeSnuffy (#0) I had an incident with one last week that got me thrown in jail and bail was $2000 bucks.
Last Friday, a week ago I was finishing the remodeling of my home and trying to cook a steak dinner for my kid on the barbeque grill out back. I heard somebody banging on my door. I turned on my security camera and saw a bunch of Comcast Cable Solicitors hanging around in the street. I went back to cooking dinner. I heard another commotion outside and turned on the cameras again. Switching views I saw a bicycle was laying up against my mailbox and I heard the mailman driving away. I was pissed. I went outside and told the 3 Comcast workers "hey guys, can I get off your mailing list" (there's a "No Soliticing" sign on my door). They yelled back (they were all black) "We aint on your property man". I walked over to the mailbox and asked "Is this your bike?". The Comcast solicitors said "No". I lifted the bike off my mailbox and started to wheel it away. I then saw a man coming running out from around the corner of the house next door and he yelled "that's my bike, give it back". I thought he was one of the Comcast workers so I said---"Then keep your bike off of my goddamned property" I picked the bike up waist high and threw it off of my body onto the property next door. He was standing to the side and was nowhere near the bike. He then followed me onto my property and said "but can you tell me how many people live here". I said "No"---it was then I realized he was a census worker. The Suisun Police came over an hour later and I told them what happened. They then said "were arresting you for assault with a deadly weapon". I had to post 2K bail and I checked online today and the DA's office filed it as a misdeameanor---but I'm still out of 2,000 bucks. Nobody was touched. Nothing was damaged. Yet they screamed "felony" . My wife is PISSED (at me).
