(05-17) 12:41 PDT DETROIT, (AP) -- An attorney for the family of a 7-year-old girl slain during a weekend raid at their Detroit home says video footage contradicts the police department's version of events. Geoffrey Fieger (FI-ger) said Monday that footage shot by the A&E crime-reality show "The First 48" shows that police fired into the home at least once after lobbing a flash grenade through a window. He says that contradicts the police department's explanation that an officer's gun fired during a confrontation with a resident inside the home. Seven-year-old Aiyana Jones was shot in the neck and died. Fieger says he viewed three to four minutes of footage but declined to say who showed it to him. The police department says it is trying to acquire the video. An A&E spokesman declined to comment.

DPD is almost as corrupt as Detriots mayor's office, and city council. As I noted its a third world shit hole. But I wasn't laughing at what took place, I'm laughing at the ridiculous, discredited attorney. But you knew that.
Fieger is not someone you want on the other team. He has the resources to make life a living hell for his opposition. Now a little wiki on the 'discredited' attorney: Legal practice Fieger has been involved with a variety of high-profile or controversial cases. In 1994, he represented Dr. Jack Kevorkian in the first of several doctor-assisted suicide trials. Kevorkian was acquitted in that trial and all subsequent trials where Fieger represented him. (Kevorkian was convicted when he represented himself in his last assisted suicide trial in 1999). These events were made into a movie, You Don't Know Jack, which aired on HBO. Other notable clients and cases include: In 1997, Fieger donated four million dollars to the Detroit College of Law, now the Michigan State University College of Law, to start the nation's first trial practice institute for law students, which was named the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute.[5] In 1998 Fieger ran unsuccessfully as the Democratic nominee for governor of Michigan. During the campaign Fieger made several inflammatory and controversial comments and statements, including Fieger appeared as one of the attorneys on the reality TV show Power of Attorney, and was opposing counsel in an episode of NBC's The Law Firm. In August 2007, Fieger was indicted on federal charges of funneling illegal contributions to the campaign of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards. Defended by famed defense attorney Gerry Spence, who announced this would be his last case, Fieger was acquitted of all charges on June 2, 2008.[9].
