Since Palin is promoted and defended day in an day out on that station. I would have to take a little grain of salt with that.

Opinion Dynamics (the polling firm) is not affiliated with Fox news, kook. They are only commissioned to take the poll.

What odd about being 193% of Republicans?

Oh, kookie believes Opinion Dynamics is controlled by 'da Joooossssss!' lmao.

We won't get a remotely meaningful poll on this topic til late December of this year.

Boofer's post #7 shows he's got us both on bozo.

Too bad for him. He hasn't figured out there's anything wrong with the poll. No wonder his business is in the toilet.

Owe-bama did not do a thing to improve the economy. Nor did the Democrat controlled congress. The numbers don't lie. since the Democrats took control of the Congress in January of 2007, the economy has crashed.

The stimulus package FAILED. They always DO. All we've done is triple the deficit, endangered the nation's credit rating, and weakened ourselves.

Let me re-interpret it for you.

A poll adds up to 100%, not 193%. Fox screwed it up.

Are you dumb?

Let me explain it again.

They have a whole bunch of people.

Those people are given a list.

You check off the candidates that you would vote for.

More people are willing to support Palin then any others in the poll.

Do you get it yet?

And I was out there phoning my congress critters to NOT vote for the Bush introductory offer and the later Obama ones. I knew it would only end up in the hands of those who created situation and needed instead to go out of business, and I wasn't wrong.

You got all that from a single picture? Impressive.

So tell me what a poll that totals 193% means.

First off sorry I called you dumb.

Yes I get that from that single picture I don't understand why you don't.

There is no 193 percent total.

Because some people are willing to support two or even three different candidates is how the numbers add to more then 100 percent.

It is kind of like a voting method that Pinguinite supported at one time.

His idea was you would have a ballot and you would check off all the candidates that are acceptable to you. Whoever got the highest percentage would win the election. It is not that hard to understand.

Here, Stone, I'll clear it up for you.

The actual poll surveyed the favorability of the candidates. Presenting it as a pie chart was a Fox News screw up (what else is new).

So sorry. You're explanation is wrong. Pie charts really do have to add up to 100%. Adding up the totals is meaningless.

I know. I posted it. It's wrong because the data they used isn't appropriate for pie charts.

If you see another one that doesn't add up to 100%, it's wrong too.

I absolutely get it. It's merely a visual aid. While typically it is used to represent a part of the "whole," (ie 100%), there is no hard and fast rule that it has to be used that way, and to use it to simply display proportions is perfectly acceptable.

I wonder if some of the BIG business owners on this site use these types of pie charts in their company's prospectus, after all if it's good enough for Fox News.....

I expect Limbaugh to be following suit, then it will be a done deal and recognized by ALL institutions as valid.
