How about some good recipes. I like to eat good food.
I make several different steak rubs/marinades but my standard is:
Rub meat with kosher [or seasoned] salt, onion powder, garlic powder. Let sit in air before refrigerating to cook.
Standard marinade: Tomato paste [or ketchup], raisins, malt [or balsamic] vinegar, red wine, horseradish, kosher salt, brown sugar [or molasses] several cloves of garlic, shallots, thyme, olive oil. Blend until thick and smooth. Simmer on stove for 1/2 hour or so until flavors are well volatized. Refrigerate until cool and then marinate steaks either all day or overnight.
