The Gulf disaster proves, at a minimum, that Sarah Palin's mindless slogans like "Drill Baby Drill" are not enough to make good energy or environmental policy.
A video by Americans for America PAC, which I co-direct, tries to make that case as simply as possible, juxtaposing Palin's chanting tea party hordes with a few images from the Gulf.
And yet, even in the face of the greatest disaster the Gulf has ever seen, Palin still refuses to admit any error or nuance. Malia Litman noted Sarah Palin's reaction to the Gulf Disaster here in HuffPost yesterday. Here was her tweet from Friday:
That's right -- Palin's 2 part response to the BP disaster is faith-based spill clean up (but no government action), and industry efforts -- the free market -- because the invisible hand is so good and scrubbing sludge from pelicans.
That's not all. On Saturday, at a public speaking gig, she said the spill was "very tragic" but added: "I want our country to be able to trust the oil industry."
Say wha?!?!?
Then, just when you would hope she would have backed off slogan-based politics out of respect for the Gulf victims, she blithely says, "My dad always says, 'Don't retreat, just reload.'"
One of these days, when Palin reloads, her slogan gun will backfire one time too many, destroying her credibility, even to the Tea Partiers, once and for all.
"Having worked/lived thru Exxon oil spill,my family&I understand Gulf residents' fears. Our prayers r w/u. All industry efforts must b employed..."

What gave it away? His 100 to 200 posts a day? I know Neil came up with his total number of posts while he was still there. Do you remember what it was? It seems to me it was 25,000+, and that was years ago.
war lied about the 'court reporter' part BS. If he were smart, he'd have gone back over my post about sitting in on court trials and writing articles for our local newspaper, which were edited before being published, a far cry from 'court reporter, but I guess that wouldn't have sound half as exciting as what he'd rather spread about me....It's like the msm taking bits and pieces of circumstancial evidence, creating a story around it, and making the public believe it.
I do remember when Neil showed up to push his buttons every very now and again. Say what you want about my ability to get under Boof's skin, Neil was able to take it to a whole new level. I think Neil showed up to congratulate Boof on his 50,000th post.

I was just looking at some posts from 2003-2004 there. It was a really good site then, with a lot of interesting people. By driving off everyone who doesn't agree with her, Goldi has completely run it into the sewer.
Or traded our inheritance for a bowl of mush.
It'll be dead the next time that she needs money. She has no clue how to run a business. She was lucky that her last ISP was as clueless as she was and she got away without paying her ISP bill.

I remember when he posted that he stopped at a Best Buy the night the first PS3 came out, and there were boxes and boxes of them stacked everywhere, so he bought one. This was when there wasn't a PS3 to be had anywhere in the country except on ebay, at 300% to 400% markups. I wonder if he still has it in his office to entertain himself when he isn't doing everything else he does to entertain himself.

I actually enjoy cutting our lawn, although I have to admit I'm getting close to the point where the JD G30 has to go, steering with hand braking is beginning to take its tool on my hands. The flip side is the exercise is good. Right now I'm having to cut every six days due to using Scott's four step program. Dandelions are gone...but good Lord, the grass grows fast, especially with this past weekends monsoon. You can almost 'see it' growing right now.
