Most of the over the counter supplements (not all) are as useless as teats on a boar.
IMO, they should have to show some studies demonstrating efficacy to put the products on the market. Perhaps not as stringently as for prescription drugs but at least some basic studies.
I really disagree with that.
I was nearly crippled and forced into using a cane to walk. After going to 8 different doctors, nothing was done except run tests...which were all inconclusive.
I then went to a herbalist, who proceded to put me on a regimine of supplements and within 2 weeks, my legs were strong enough that I no longer needed the cane.
Over the years, my acupuncturists have given me multiple supplements to use depending on the need at the time. Chinese herbs have been in use longer than the West has existed, and they work.
I still take supplements: calcium, magnesium, Vitamin D, and Serrapeptase. I'm not taking as many now as I did a while ago, as I've gotten healthier and stronger using them - and don't depend on them now.
I use Aroma therapy which works marvelously for various things.
I use homeopathic remedies for various things, as needed.
When I'm sick, I go to a doctor. But to keep my body in good shape, I claim the right to use supplements as necessary.
If they regulate them, like they did the cancer curing Rife Machine, which was DESTROYED, I will get supplements from overseas.
If they keep regulating everything so it's impossible to have freedom over my own body, I'll just leave the states permanently.[editors note: biggie sizing mine]
No one lives "here" but me...and I will choose what goes into "me" or not...not the freaking government.
