To: All (#1) To: WildPlum This disgraceful Congress -- Republican led -- is fast becoming one of the most corrupt and self-interested in all of American history. Sensenbrenner, in support of his corrupt attempt to protect criminal activity in Congress, has the gall to reference Madison , even though it was Madison who wrote in the Federalist Paper No 57, "they [Congress] can make no law which will not have its full operation [italics mine] on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society." In other words, all laws passed by Congress must also apply fully to Congressmen and Congresswomen. We've already long passed that point, though, because Congress currently exempts itself from all kinds of legally binding restrictions it imposes on Joe Sixpack.
