A massive coordinated attack involving bombings of several Shi’ite mosques and marketplaces in Shi’ite neighborhoods across Baghdad have left scores of people dead and several hundred wounded, and the nation wondering if they are just seeing the beginning of the rising violence. So far no one has claimed credit for the blasts but the government was quick to blame al-Qaeda, speculating that it was revenge for the killings of leaders announced earlier this week. The deadliest attacks were in the Shi’ite stronghold of Sadr City, where worshipers were leaving mosques after Friday prayers when the attacks hit. All told some 69 people were killed across Baghdad. But violence in other parts of Iraq, including seven bombs around Ramadi that killed one women and wounded 18 other people, were also reported. Those bombings were said to have targeted Iraqi police, but it is unclear if they were related. 
The attacks were the third major spate of bombings in Baghdad this month alone, but also stand as the deadliest yet of 2010. Year over year death tolls have been on the rise over the past several months, and are only getting worse since the disputed March 7 election.

Exactly how does a small group of disgruntled Muslims attacking other Muslims have anything to do with winning or losing or that Bush successfully instituted Democracy in Iraq? Have we lost America because blacks are attacking other blacks in the same type of way in every major city in this Country? Are we no longer a Republic because of it?

That was it? Then why is fighting still going on? The last time we really won a war I don't recall the Germans and Japanese continuing the fighting years afterwards. All we did was overthrow a government. Not quite the same as "winning a war".
Especially when one side really wasn't fighting. We are the modern Gengkis Khan. Invade on some pretext of need for preemption or for the sure hell of it, dominate the population and set up our own governmental type,( at least GG left most previous political structures intact), and go the way of Rome in the end. At least GG left a lasting positive relic, afterward males in invaded territories wore pants instead of togas and skirts. Made riding and fighting on horseback a bit easier.

Iraq had elections before we invaded so how can you say they didn't have a democracy. Citizens of a true democracy are able to elect dictatorial tyrants if they so choose, and the minority has NO say.
