Stacy Drake wrote earlier about the obsession the main stream media has with Sarah Palins earnings. Now, it has been reported that Palin has earned an estimated $12 million dollars since leaving office as Governor of Alaska. It is estimated because the MSM sat down and put a pencil to it, carried the 1, practiced their gazintas, and came up with a number. They had to do that because they dont know the actual number. Sarah Palin is a private citizen and doesnt have to tell the press what she earns, you know, like you and me. Once the press came up with number and everyone on the left shouted Harumph, they began writing nasty stories about her earnings. Shes only in it for the money-kind of stuff. One such article even said that Palin risks losing Joe Six-Pack as her supporter because of her success.
Sorry, but Joe Six-Pack is not the scumbag, white-trash ne'er do-well the left thinks he/she to be. Joe Six-Pack is a hard-working tax payer who doesnt begrudge anyone making an honest living. Joe Six-Pack doesnt believe in punishing success; he believes it to be the proper reward for hard work.
If you want to look for resentment of Palins success, look no further than those on the left. In light of absolutely everyone on the right being labeled "Joe Six-Pack" lets call you on the left Leslie Tofu-Breath. Yeah, you Leslie...youre the ones who hate success and really, really hate Sarah Palin.
First you told us Sarah Palin was too stupid to accomplish anything. Joke, Idiot, and Moron were the words you used to exemplify your hallmark of tolerance as a party and an ideology.
Then, when Sarah Palin stepped out into the private world and in just one year became a phenomenon of success and admiration, you began attacking her for being successful. So which is it? Is she too dumb to tie her own shoes, or is she now too successful to be popular with poor old Joe Six-Pack.
The left is a vile hate machine.
Democrats have accused those protesting at the Capitol on the day Health Care Reform was passed as yelling the "N" word at a black Congressman. From that point forward the left has labeled ALL TEA Party members as racists. Which has actually been a reoccurring theme. However, it is you on the left who have perpetuated a stance of bigotry.
On the day that Pelosi, Reid, Stupak and their cohorts shoved socialized medicine down the collective throats of Americans everywhere (including the aforementioned Joe Six-Pack), protesters appeared outside the Capitol building. Lawmakers, who normally shun the light and their constituents, made a point to walk past the protesters. At one point, some of those lawmakers claim that the N-word was shouted out. No one can prove it. No one can produce one second of tape, film, audio, or video to substantiate the lawmakers claim. Yet this has been fodder for the mainstream media ever since and gives the ultra-tolerant left the rationalization for calling all TEA Party members racists or bigots.
Silly me, I thought painting an entire group of people with a single brushstroke and calling them a name to vilify their beliefs was the basic definition of bigotry. I guess its okay when the left is doing the name calling.
Meanwhile last week in New Orleans, the site of the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, two people were attacked and brutally beaten because they were wearing Palin buttons. Sarah Palin had been the keynote speaker at the event.
The couple beaten were Allee Bautsch and her boyfriend. Allee is a campaign fundraiser for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal whose office released the following:
Friday night, the Governors campaign fundraiser, Allee Bautsch, and her boyfriend were involved in an altercation in the French Quarter with a group of people.
While there were protesters around at that time, we are not aware of any evidence that the individuals involved in the altercation were protesters.
Allees leg was badly broken in the incident, she has had surgery, and she is facing a recovery time of two to three months. Her boyfriend had a concussion, and also a fractured nose and jaw. They are both expected to fully recover.
NOPD is investigating the incident and we are refraining from further comment to allow them to fully investigate and ensure justice is done. Our prayers are with Allee. She is a strong person and we are sure she will make a speedy recovery.
Thanks,
Kyle Plotkin Office of Governor Jindal Press Secretary
Meanwhile an eyewitness who saw what happened after the couple left a GOP event at the restaurant Brennan's had this to say:
I am the photographer for the LA GOP and I was at the Brennan fundraiser. When I left about one hour or so after all three of the governors left, the crowd of protesters had grown. They were very nasty, and signs were vulgar using the F word. As I left the restaurant I was yelled at there was a family visiting the restaurant with a baby stroller they had nothing to do with the fundraiser and they were being heckled using the F and MF words.. A couple of them made comments to me. - Eric
And this
The Hayride reports that a source who visited Bautsch at the hospital the day after the attack says they were told the couple was attacked for wearing Palin buttons:
Two people at the Brennans event have now confirmed that the protest had largely broken up by the time it ended, but we also understand from someone who visited Allee Bautsch in the hospital Saturday morning that she and Brown were followed and attacked expressly because they had Palin pins on (she heard one of the attackers say Lets get them, they have Palin pins on, so the attack WAS politically motivated as its victims understood it. It was not a mugging, it was not an argument gone wrong and it was not a bar fight.
Those nice hecklers, those people who beat up a young couple because they disagree with their politics, were members of the left.
So according to the rules, logic and rationalization employed by those on the left, we on the right can now call everyone on the left from Barack Obama to Nancy Pelosi to Michael Moore violent protesters who attack and beat people. Arent we on the right now justified in calling everyone on the left a leg breaker, or is that just too Chicago?
And where is the media on this story? Eyewitnesses, actual broken bones, people hospitalized
nothing on the news. Crickets from the networks.
Meanwhile, today the progressives and their lapdog press had to stand by and watch thousands gather in the Common in Boston bastion of leftist progressive socialist thought and watch Sarah Palin deliver a knock-out speech at a Tea Party Rally. A number of sites carried the stream live, but if you were able to get on, youre lucky. The sites were jammed with traffic.
Darn Joe Six-Pack and his ability to use the internet.
Be sure to tune in today and tonight as MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC & CBS all tell you that very few people showed up, and that the Tea Party movement doesnt matter.
