Title: Michelle Bachmann: Tea Party And GOP Are 'Merging'

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) rejected the idea that there was animosity between the Tea Party movement and the GOP in an interview on CNN Thursday, and instead said that the two sides were on the verge of coming together under a single mantle.

"Do the Republicans become tea partiers, do tea partiers become Republicans? How does this evolve?" CNN's Ali Velshi asked Bachmann on CNN's Newsroom Thursday.

"It's really merging into one single, solitary unit," Bachmann replied. "They have unified. A number of Tea Party groups from around the country are coming together, unifying under the umbrella of economic, fiscal conservatism because Americans, quite simply, feel like they're taxed enough already."

Those comments may not ring true to some conservative activists who have sought to distance themselves from the GOP. For example, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins (who has recently been critical of RNC spending missteps ) warned the GOP that "Republicans are not the only game in town," and said that the Tea Party was "taking on a life of its own."

Americans, quite simply, feel like they're taxed enough already.

And exactly how do they think all of our wonderful little wars are supposed to be paid for?

The GOP either gets in line with the fiscal concerns of the Tea Party, or they won't get their votes in 2012. They (the Republicans) have one shot at this, when they take back the House this fall...and possibly the Senate.

If they blow it, the Tea Party will morph into a full blown third party, and take at least half of the GOP base with them, ala Perot in 1992, except with a much larger built in base at the grassroots level.

I'm not concerned a Boehner led House will screw this up. But the GOP Senators?

Who knows what those idiots will do.

my anti groupie can't get through life without me.

With the billions and billions of dollars the Chocolate Messiah says will be saved by adopting his health care plan?

They will do whatever they are paid to do.

You would be hard-pressed to find a most dishonest and corrupt group of 100 people in the average prison.
