obama made some speech somewhere today. It's just another day on the campaign trail, oh, wait, the campaign has been over for a year and a half. Anyway, during his speech he says he is pleased by the 9.7% unemployment rate. He said the economy added 162,000 jobs last month. That's great, except 48,000 of those jobs are government jobs, and temporary government jobs, at that. Another 40,000 are temporary jobs in the real world. That's 88,000 temp jobs and 74,000 actual, real full time jobs. I'm sure that the people with the temporary jobs are just damn happy to be doing something, what happens at the end of that? obama and his gang of thugs talk about the 9.7% unemployment number, but it is actually much higher than that. Those numbers don't even take into account those people who have just given up on looking for a job. It also can't measure, with any degree of accuracy, those who are underemployed.
And when you consider obama's promise that unemployment would not exceed 8.0% if we passed the almost $1,000,000,000 (thats 1 TRILLION) stimulus package, I don't think he has a damn thing to be happy about. In fact, if it were me, I would be totally embarrased. I'm not sure a narcissist is able to process that emotion.
I would like to be refunded whatever tax dollars I have invested in the stimulus package because it has been a complete failure. Well, maybe not complete, I'm sure some obama cronies and contributors got nicely paid in there somewhere...
