Look...it is very simple...Oswald gets Russian language and lifestyle training from the CIA ..defects...presumably betrays state secrets at the height of the Cold War but suffers 0 consequences for doing so. Why? THAT is the Oswald smoking gun. Throw all of the other crap out. WHY was he able to get back into the US with 0 consequences?

Did you see the damning evidence of him having a security clearance up to "confidential"? Confidential? That's his high priced top level training clearance? You can't even be a postman for the Commander with that clearance. The guy was obviously nothing more than an intelligent flake who slipped through the cracks for a while in the military at that time, and an embarrassed military quickly dispatched of him. Idiots like war still want to imagine some great right wing conspiracy. Fairly, it's unfair to call the guy a left winger either as he was probably too confused to know what he beleived.
Those who worked for ONI and the CIA were right wing? Who knew. But I do know that identity politics wasn't as sharply honed in the early sixties as it has been in the last 20 years.
The conspiracy wasn't complicated, Boof. The CIA wanted Cuba back and had Nixon won they'd have gotten it. Rogue elements got pissed and whacked him. It's laughable that you once again use your laughable REMFPogue status to try to win a point. The memo clearly states that Oswald was CIA trained. It's well known that he went into the Marines without being able to speak Russian but was quite fluent in it when he moved there. Not long after he was there Powers was shot down. There was strong contemporary speculation that Oswald gave the Russians flight pattern info and times that allowed them to do so. This stinks on any number of levels not the least of which are a) if the DoD KNEW Oswald defected and had been stationed at Atsugi WHY did they not compensate for that and b) why, given this suspicion WAS OSWALD NOT TRIED FOR TREASON? I don't see what he posts unless one of you cut and paste it, and ping it too me. And I'd rather ya didn't to be honest. Its [sic] never anything I haven't seen before. Yet here you are on this thread discussing points that I have raised.
