Today's Boston Herald proclaims "Republicans feeling blue as Scott Brown win backfires." Republicans may be feeling blue, but the teabaggers are seeing red. They're seething. And, they've turned their anger (and, if there's one thing we know about teabaggers, they're angry) on Scott BrownBrown’s backers from the insurgent Tea Party movement want to know if they’ve been had.
That was one of the quickest falls from grace in politics.
“We start to wonder whether we helped a RINO (Republican in name only) get into office,” said Tea Party activist Jeffrey McQueen, who traveled from Michigan to campaign for Brown in the final days of the Jan. 19 special election that rocked the nation.
“If it wasn’t for the Tea Party movement, Scott Brown wouldn’t have gotten that seat. We expect to see a true conservative in there.”
In fact, Democrats now say Brown’s election as the so-called “41st vote” to block Obama’s health-care overhaul inspired them to seek procedural means to bypass GOP efforts to derail the bill.

The ideals of a representative republic exists across mutli-planes of thought. The House was to be elected every two years and from a more intimate pool of citizens in the belief that the Representative would be of similar beliefs of the people who elected him [or her]. The Federalist makes it quite clear, tho, that the elected Representative is to exercise HIS [or HER] judgement on issues and not be a simple reflection of the popular sentiment of his [or her] constituency. A represntative, at times, would be confronted with a decision that, while clearly the proper course, would not be a popular one.

Badeye, If you want to do something really constructive for Conservatism how about buying some FIREARMS COMPANY stocks toward purpose of conservative control of the FIREARMS COMPANIES so we can practice GUN CONTROL IN REVERSE on the Federal, State and Local "enforcement agencies" and governments that impose "Gun Control" on us. Another thing you can do is sign up to be an adult Scout Leader so that we can eventually take over that organization and turn it into an ANTEDOTE for public school brainwashing rather than the complement to it that it is starting to become with "World Citizenship" and Environmental "Science" merit badges. Of course they do. The Boy Scouts conduct background checks to keep Atheists, Pedophiles and "Gays" OUT. Proof that they are going in the right direction already. The problem is that other "Progressive" nonsense like "global warming" and "world citizenship" that they have absorbed over the years that needs to be SKOTCHED if they are to be a full antedote to anti Constitutaional/Patriotic brainwashing through the public school system.
Oh, and don't think that simply because I DON'T support the "global warming" nonsense and RELIGIOUS "PROGRESSIVE" Environmentalism that I don't support protecting the Environment. I support the Desert Tortoise reserves here in Commiefornia whenever I have the money to do so and am working on inventions for alternatives to the GENUINE nasty problems with oil (real pollution and American dependency on oil). In fact I hope to donate free manufacturing licenses to some of these inventions to the Boy Scouts so that they can make pollution free camp stoves, flashlights and such. My thing against the current RELIGIOUS "PROGRESSIVE" forms of environmentalism like "global warming" is that they are being used as the reason for the NEXT HOLOCAUST. "Carbon footprint" games where schoolchildren are in a sense being told how long they should be allowed to live if we had a perfect environmentally "sustainable" society have already been reliably reported from public schools in Great Britain. I wouldn't be suprised if such games are being played in public school systems here in the USA ands in Canada too. THIS is the kind of "Progressive" public school brainwashing that we need the Scouts and other private youth educational institutions to be an andedote against.
Get back to me when they keep the Canadians out. Until then they are just another cog in the wheel of doom.
